English teachers across the nation scream with outrage

In another cultural triumph for the Fox Network, and I could not have written that with my tongue more firmly planted in my cheek, the latest entry to the Oxford English Dictionary comes from one Homer J. Simpson.

It seems those who decide what words do or don't make the cut into our language's most vaunted lexiconographic tome have decided that D'oh is so widely used they'd better write it up.

According to the definition, Homer's famous cuss word stand-in means, 'expressing frustration at the realization that things have turned out badly or not as planned or that one has just said or done something foolish. Also implying that another person has said or done something foolish.'
