While at a promotion for his upcoming adaptation of The Spirit, director Frank Miller has hinted that a sequel to his and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City could be getting near production. In a Q&A session in Rome where he revealed a new trailer and new footage for "Spirit", the topic was brought up and Bad Taste.it was on hand.

I can't talk about my projects, because I don't believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong. But I can tell you that I'm very close to begin 'Sin City 2' with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we'll be back in action.

As far as what was revealed about his latest comic adaptation, you can check out a description of the new trailer and some spoiler details about the four scenes shown by clicking here.

The Spirit will hit theaters Christmas Day 2008.

Many things can go wrong like The Spirit bombing meaning no Sin City 2 cause no one wants to see Frank Miller direct.

Even if the Spirit bombed, we'd still get Sin City 2. RR directed way more of the original movie than Frank Miller did. The Spirit is the first flick he is in sole control of.

I franly believe these films will bomb. I'll see them in the theater but most of my friends and family that aren't into the comic book scene felt they had enough with the first SinCity as far as this shooting style goes and no one has shown much interest in The Spirit either.

Let's face it, the first one made decent bank mostly because of the novelty, I don't see it repeating itself.

I know The Spirit will bomb, don't know why you are watching that at the theaters. Just give me $10 if you plan on wasting money.

If you can amuse me for 2 hours I'll think about sending you a sawbuck :)
If I catch an a.m. show it's only $6 plus I like watching this type of stuff on the big screen, good or bad. What can I say, I'm a slave to the genre.

well u let me know how bad it is.

It should do well enough because ever moron I walk by that's looking at the poster or watching the trailer in the movie theater lobby thinks that it's Sin City 2. I tried for a while to correct people but soon gave up. Sequels are tricky and it's been awhile since the first. As hanso will remind us, not every movie can be The Dark Kinght.

Mania, I think you need more ads. You are really close to making sure my browser crashes almost every single time.

Anyway...how is this news? This doesn't mean shit. They can be talking about it for the next 5 years and it doesn't mean it will get made.

Call me when they actually sign the actors and start shooting.
