I have been hoping since the second movie that we would get to see Bishop and/or cable in these movies. With this story line Bishop should be a "shew in" (not spelled correctly)

1) Vaughn has not only proved himself to be a very good director, he has also directed -for me-not only the best X-Men movie but one of the best comic book superhero movies - again for me. On him I have no worries.

2) We know now you will not be getting the comic book continuity in the films. This is the Singer created X-verse that has been re-enforced through 5 movies. You might want Marvel to swoop in and re-boot the whole thing with their Marvel Movieverse but it's just not going to happen. Sorry. So what do you do? You see if in their established movie continuity they do great movies and stories. For me, X1stC was that. So I'm hoping for more of that.

3) Because the proposed story deals with time travel and timelines, it is possible for Wolverine, Cyke, Jean Grey,the older Xavier (Stewart) and Magneto (McKellan) to show up. You never know. You got Nimoy in the new Star Trek.

Let's see what the future holds.

 @EIBaz13 - I agree with you, Sir,(especially about doing it in animation) but you know as well as I, that it does'nt matter cause all the X-Lemmings will pour enough money into this movie, that Fox will continue to make sub-par movies, and continue to thumb their nose's at continuity  all the way to the bank......IMO

 Damn, I was hoping it would fail and Marvel would get the rights back! But this is my favorite story so I will be there! The cameo I want to see comes straight from the comic...Popeye and Superman when they show all of the Super heroes captured...it was funny and amazing and still would be! :) I must have 3 or 4 copies of that comic! lol

@Darth..your right they will trash the continuity until they realize they paid all that money to use the good stories only to paint themselves into a corner and not be able to use them....Then boom....reboot time once again.

I guess Broccoli is the only one to figure out...just make a good movie and the fans will love it enough to rationalize the whys and hows of Bond being 50 years old to be doing what he does.

Can't X-Men: First Class be viewed as an X-Men reboot that just happened to have a tiny cameo by Jackman?  If that is the case, then almost any X-Men character could be fair game to use.

Oh, and I'll repeat an idea I listed several months ago...

Since they are doing time traveling, maybe they will muck in the timeline such that it "resets" the universe to the standard Marvel/X-Men universe that we all know and love.  (This reset of a universe is known as "pulling a JJ Abrams").

I have faith in Vaughn and love his work, but not even Mozart could bust out a masterpiece from a broken piano. At the very least, they need to finally bring in Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, hopefully Colossus to make this somewhat work. Idk either how they're gonna be able to bring in Wolverine....uggghh.... Talking about this movie franchise makes my weiner shrink......

 The reboot was hella better than the original trilogy, so I'm in.
