The yellow and Black and multi colored suits of the current x-men would NOT have been realistic. The uniform look works better for a SCHOOL, and I think the black leather was a smart choice.

The costumes are not important and if thats your hangup, good luck. In the last 10 years there have been advances in costuming, and maybe now we'll see more comic style costumes, but it's an evolution X-men started it, and after 10 years of movie making, there have been artist who have figured out how to do the "colorful" costumes in a more realistic way

Gauley, I did overlook your Blade comment the first time around, sorry about that, but Blade was still the first, for Marvel anyway.  I agree  that Donner's Superman was "realistic," but as far the comics universes themselves, Marvel was initially more "realistic" than DCs and DC has changed over the years.  Yeah Gotham is a nickname for NYC, but you know that nobody really calls the city Gotham.  If I got on a bus in NJ and asked if it's going to Gotham, the driver would look at me as if I was stupid or an absolutely pretentious idiot.

I agree that downloading Wolverine is stealing and I'm not judging anyone for it, but  I'm not buying that it hurt the sales of the movie.  That $hit was straight garbage and that's what hurt it.  Even if I saw a complete or incomplete downloaded cut of Avatar I would still go to the movies and see it 5 million times because it is a good damn movie.  I get tired of suits saying that lost them money, just stop making garbage ass moives and you won't have to worry about if it's downloaded or not.

No Worries Cheesey, and yeah I agree nobody calls NYC Gotham, I was jsut sayin.

I can say that I know of a couple friends (seriously friends, not me, I paid for that $hitty movie) that didn't go see it because of the bootlegged workprint. So yeah it did cost the studio money through lost ticket sales.

I did not want to see a workprint, because I like to see a movie in it's entirety completed, and on the big screen
