Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson has landed a regular role next season on Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, says the Hollywood Reporter. On "Sarah Connor," produced by Warner Bros TV, Scottish musician Manson will play Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a cutting-edge high-tech company.
The sci-fi series, an offshoot from the "Terminator" feature franchise, is returning for a second season in the fall after launching in midseason as the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-08 season.
It stars Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as her son John Connor and Summer Glau as terminator Cameron Phillips.

I thought maybe she fell off the side of the Earth or something after Garbage did the main title for The World is Not Enough. I haven't heard anything from them in a decade!
Holy cow, could it be? Another Female Terminator/CEO? Could we be getting some nasty greasy Cyberdyne hotty cat fights going on. If so you can bet I'll have to break out the Terminator 3D glasses from the old Universal Studios Terminator Ride. Wouldn't miss this for the World. If she is just a CEO I'm okay with this too. Atleast this is confirmation for me that the show isnt cancelled. Went to the official site and they didnt say crap otherwise.
I didn't realize that this was a mid-season show, but it makes sense since it started in January,,,duh.....I actually really enjoyed the show and am glad to see it coming back....it was much better than the train wreck that was the bionic woman,,,,,on that note, anyone know what happened to Knight Rider?
Always had a thing for her. I liked the accent & red hair, oh how I love them red heads man.........Anyhow I believe Knight Rider is going to be on Wednesday nites this fall. I'm not sure of the day but I know it's in the new line up.
Well, I'm just happy that the show is coming back. I don't even know why they even considered canceling it. I thought it did pretty well in the rating, but it is Fox and if your show isn`t a reality tv show or the Simpsons, I guess you`re on the bubble.
I like some of Garbage's music and I liked Manson until she made this really asshole comment about hiphop and how it wasn't music.

Amen, pony. Glad to see its coming back myself. Has it been announced if it'll be back in the Fall/November or are we getting tortured until Jan/Feb '09?
