Well, if it's Storm in the future Halle Barry would work. I mean Storm in the future is supposed to be old.  Not saying that Halle is old but Zoe definitely isn't.

Don't need Halle back. She's expensive and I'd rather see that money go towards the production. Just recast her if she's needed for the story. Halle was one of my least favorite parts of all 3 first X films.

 Personally Naomie Harris would be the perfect fit. She's got a natural accent that lends to the international appeal and creditentails to the X-Men. Versus and american actor. She British, typically everyone from UK that's black either come from African/Island heritage. So adds to Storm's depth. I just hope Singer & Co. take ques from Avengers on whatever they decide versus doing what the did with the last 3 films and Wolverine and dont give a frak about continuity of fans attachment to characters. 

 If you're bringing in a future, more mature, and stronger version of Storm, go talk to Angela Bassett.

That's who should have been Storm to begin with.

Although not a big HB fan if they're bringing the old cast back it would seem out of place just to replace her. Of course if money is an issue then you could just omit the character all together

An all CGI Dark Phoenix.  Leather and everything... That's one of my greatest disappointments in X-Men 3.  Didn't get to see Famke in the Phoenix leathers with studs.

People have their complaints about Halle's Storm but seeing that nearly all the old and new cast will be back I really want her there. I have to hear  her ask the question "Do you know what happens to a Sentinel when it's struck by lightning?"

 Just kill off her character in the first 10 minutes. Naomi Harris would be great though.

Either Zoe Saldana lies about her age or she has endured a lifetime of drug abuse. I have seen her in person and she looks terrible!
