Innersanctum-There's a big difference between "deviating" from the original story and completely changing the entire history of everything we know and loved.  And i understand some of you are accepting this and moving on, i just ask that you somehow DONT PAY to see this thing. U know where im getting at with that. hehe  >=)

and granted he did "get them made", but they would have been made sooner or later, and maybe by someone who actually knew about the X-Men and would have done it justice. We're just unlucky he was the one to get his dirty mits on it first.

but ya, i have to admit the tone and feel of it is definitely interesting(thanks to Vaughn), but It still pisses me the hell off.

I'm not really excited about this.  Azzazel a poor man's Night Crawler wanna be.  Havok being played as the wanna be Cyclops.  The list just goes on on and on about what is wrong with this film.  I'll see it, but I just don't have any faith in this franchise.  Please let it fall back to Marvel and we can get a proper X-Men film.  I'm so tired of these creative liberties.

I'm also a fan of the Ultimate Universe.

Not everything different is bad.

lol- oh Gauley....but  you love EVERYTHING!!!.... but that is why i love you maaaannnnn!!!!

LOL! Violator

Not everything, but I try to keep an open mind.

In any case I'd rather watch thios parallel universe X-Men movies than no X-Men at all. (Although I still do really think the first two are exceptionally well made X-Men films)

And lets face it, Fox (one of the most evil corporations ever) isn't gonna let the rights revert EVER. It's too much of a cash cow for them. They know people like me will go see X-men movies. Granted some are terrible, but I refrain from judging them til after I've spent my coin.

God Wolverine was bad...

 Singer's right. He doesn't have to compare this movie to Marvel's or Warner Bros.' . . . . . .They're better.

All I gotta say is Darren Arnofsky directing The Wolverine movie...that is something to get excited about...

scannato 2/12/2011 8:03:34 AM

I will also say that Singer is a good director and he did what any director would have done without proper direction...he made it interesting to himself. The problem was and is that no one has represented the property of X-Men properly wherein they could have told him where to go with the story and characters...

I'm going to live under the assumption that even if the characters were under Marvel control again, not even Marvel would make the movie that you all seem to want.  1.) Looking at the Avengers movies, they seem to be going for more of an Ultimates/Classic Mash Up feel, trying to appeal to newer fans and older fans alike.  2.) They have Wolverine in virtually EVERY comic title out there...what makes you think they would keep him out of any X-Men movie just for the sake of doing a true first class movie?  If anything, I'd be willing to bed they'd do the Ulitmate X-Men storyline where Wolverine was originally sent as a spy by Magneto.  The X-Men movie universe is established, a lot of people liked the movies, either go with it or don't see any future movies.

I never thought the movies were  that bad myself but the way Singer screwed with the chronology and team make up affects everything including my feelings about him. But that's not to say that I thought the movies were great either because after the initial high of getting the X-Men on film died down and the realization started to sink in of what Singer actually did it just pissed me off. Now I just accept what the situation is and know it'll be a long time if ever before we get a proper reboot and the X-Men teams we want to see on film done right and true to the source

In the end I'd rather get what Singer has done than nothing at all but it still irks me that he just had to change shit around that has been succesful for almost 50 years.
