It looks like THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN is headed down the fast track shoot over at Universal Studios. According to Richard Anderson, who played Oscar to Lee Majors' Steve "Bionic Man" Austin, the studio is interested in getting a big screen version going, with Anderson producing.
Pre-production is apparently not as moribund as once thought when Kevin Smith departured from the project sometime back.
As Anderson told SciFi Wire, "We've got to get the story straight. Story first, and then we'll go after the director."
For those who loved the 1970s series, he offered this hope, "In James Bond, they always brought [Q], the fellow with the inventions, back, and he played the part until he died. So I think the studio felt there was something about bringing in some of the people from the original series."
