SKY CAPTAIN poster appearing today, not tomorrow

The art deco inspired one-sheet for Paramount's SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW has been unveiled by CHUD. In the poster, spotlights illuminate threatening flying machines andthe breastplate of what looks to be one of the giant robots we've seen in the trailers. While the poster gets marks for being an original, the lack of images (a.k.a. "floating heads") of any of the film's stars on the poster may prove to be a liability when attracting the interest of the average citizen. Time will tell; SKY CAPTAIN opens on September 17.
