Sony Pictures UK has released another 30 second TV Spot for Skyfall. The 23rd James Bond film hits US IMAX theaters on November 8th and on November 9th premieres in regular cinemas.

The Plot:  Bond's loyalty to M (JUDI DENCH) is tested as her past returns to haunt her. 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. When Bond's latest assignment goes gravely wrong and agents around the world are exposed, MI6 is attacked forcing M to relocate the agency. These events cause her authority and position to be challenged by Mallory (RALPH FIENNES), the new Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee. With MI6 now compromised from both inside and out, M is left with one ally she can trust: Bond. 007 takes to the shadows -- aided only by field agent, Eve (NAOMIE HARRIS) -- following a trail to the mysterious Silva (JAVIER BARDEM), whose lethal and hidden motives have yet to reveal themselves. The film is from Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Hmmmm...kind of like Mission Impossible.  Agents exposed.  On the run.  Anyway, I don't mind a changing of the guard.  Dench has made a fine "M", but it would be interesting if the dynamics were shaken up a bit (pun not intended.)  She is a bit long in the tooth to be running the agency at this point.  But, EON has been notorious for hanging on to characters past their prime.  Roger Moore...well, he was just silly playing the character of Bond when he was clearly old enough to be a grandfather.  And, I say this as a HUGE Bond fan.

I definitely agree with InnerSanctum. As a huge Bond fan also, I will watch "A View to a Kill" every now and then, but to say that it isn't the best Bond film would be an understatement and Moore was to old for Bond by then. I will admit that I liked his portrayal of Bond though over all. I am looking forward to the Skyfall and hope it is as good as the trailers make it out to be.

On a different, but related subject, the new Bond game 007 Legends comes out Tuesday and I also hope that it is as good as the trailer looks.
