First Pic of Joe's SCARLETT Revealed - Apr 17, 2008 - 06:56am
Not feeling the outfit - shouldn't COBRA be wearing black??? WTF is this sh!t?! They should've went for some muted camo colors. The chick in the suit those is a hottie tho!

Splitting Superman: The Siegel Victory - Apr 02, 2008 - 06:09pm
Well, hopefully this will put the fire under DC's ass to put this character to bed. It's time to kill him off and all of his kin... start from scratch and just call him Kal. Give him the suit of the Eradicator too..

CBS Cancels JERICHO Again. - Mar 24, 2008 - 01:29pm
American TV can learn a lot from the Japanese. Rather than have an ongoing series that has no end in site and is severely convoluted (X-Files, Smallville). Maybe it's time for the execs here to start considering the idea of the maxi-series where you have a few seasons (under 4) and there's a definite end in site. Watching tv is almost a chore because you watch to eventually see a resolution. Shows like this, Smallville and Lost take time to fully appreciate and abbreviating a series by saying there's DEFINITELY gonna be an ending within 4 years gives the watchers hope that they're not gonna get screwed in the end if the show loses its viewership and comes to a close. I mean how long can Terminator and Smallville go on before people get bored and the quality of the show becomes piss-poor. Do we really want to see through that. Let a show end gracefully and put a cap on the number of seasons a show can run.... I mean, if the show's really that successful when it ends, you can always have a spinoff.

New Line Pulled into Warner Bros. - Feb 29, 2008 - 07:14am
The question is, how is the WB still around?! Half the things they produce is craptastic - Superman Returns anyone?

DiCaprio & WB Developing AKIRA Movies - Feb 21, 2008 - 05:12am
Obviously, some of you guys didn't read the manga, because there's one major plot point that's gonna be overlooked in the movie: Americans ARE in the story - and they're the BAD guys. When they get word of another AKIRA event, they send the airforce and carpet bomb the remainder of Tokyo. The leader of the airforce kills Tetsuo's girlfriend, and out of revenge Tetsuo pops the guys head like a cherry bomb. You should read it. Half the story is about drugs, lots of sex, and after the first volume, a HELLUVA lot of violence. I doubt this movie will be as good... but hey, it's worth a shot. BUT KEEP IT IN TOKYO AND KEEP THE MAIN CAST ASIAN.

Danny Huston Hunts After WOLVERINE - Feb 16, 2008 - 04:56am
I third that notion, we have our new Joker.

Pryce is Presidential in G.I JOE? - Feb 16, 2008 - 04:54am
Simple, do it at the end when the credits roll ... like the cut-scenes in the Rush Hour movies. ^_^ You can have a bunch of them, some which are retarded, like yes kids you SHOULD go out in the middle of traffic, just to poke fun.

Sarah Connor Chronicles: Queen's Gambit - Feb 13, 2008 - 04:47pm
This show gets better and better every week! To the point where I HOPE they don't do another movie! I mean, what's better, 6 seasons of terminator or 3 more movies that are "direct" sequels to T3 - where John is recasted after every film? I'd rather see them take this show down a path where it eventually turns into a spinoff show about the war. The events of T3 are "re-imagined" and we'd have EVERY QUESTION ever asked answered by the end, from the growth of John to the rise of Skynet. There were several times already where they could've made SERIOUS holes in the plot, and they danced around them gracefully. Job WELL DONE. I also had doubts about BAG, but because he's in such a MAJOR role, I think he's actually gonna pull it off - it'll define him as a more versatile actor. All in all I'm excited, and maybe someday, Arnie will take some time out of his busy schedule to cameo in this ^_^ The only thing like someone mentioned, is the timeframe - I think they need to explain that a bit.

MORTAL KOMBAT is Not a Sequel - Feb 09, 2008 - 07:01am
I agree with all of you. Old Hollywood underestimates the intelligence of kids ALOT. Once we know about sex, all stones are pretty much turned over. Maybe I'm still immature, but outside of certain experiences, a kid can be just as smart, or if not smarter than a lot of adults - aren't you amazed by how as the years go on, it seems younger people know just as much if not MORE than you? It's scary. I think the baby boomers don't know how to take a dose of their own medicine and they're surprised how aware their kids are (if they were brought up well) and fear the fact that they will one day top them. They need to get used to the fact that this is the way things are, it's called evolution. Rather than fear it, you should celebrate it. From my personal experience, I saw PLENTY of movies that should've at least been rated R when I was little - Children of the Corn, Commando, Terminator, Rambo...need I go on? As long as there's supervision, what matter does it make? Blade was the movie that re-booted the comic book adaptation industry anyway, and that was rated R. A B-list comic book character in a rated R movie....sounds like a failure in the making right? Well, we know how well Blade did if it spawned 2 sequels and a TV series... just because a movie's rated R doesn't always means it'll fail.... If JAWS were rated R, I'm sure it would've been a big hit anyway. They producers can at least commission a little extra in the budget to shoot the "hardcore" scenes of Mortal Kombat and leave it for the DVD, ala Die Hard - but make it known in the credits to keep an eye out for that for those that want it (I loved how they did that stuff in the superman movies ^_^).

MORTAL KOMBAT is Not a Sequel - Feb 08, 2008 - 09:25pm
Shang Tsung (young and old) could be Jason Scott Lee - he was actually up for the role of Kang, but Anderson's dumbass casted what's his name again? Who cares... Subzero and Scorpion need to be enemies in this one, Subzero does 2 fatalies (1. ripping off scorpions head in the flash back 2. freezing/killing a random fighter [you got like 8 MK games, pick a victim]). Scorpion kills Subzero, as a cliff hanger, you can say that Subzero was reincarnated as Noob Saibot - just like in the newer games. You can go young here, and get Sung Kang and Brian Tee for these roles. Sonya should go in with Jax and Stryker to chase Kano and Kira (who works for Shang Tsung, we don't learn that until the end of the movie). Kira gets stabbed by Kano when they board the ship and she gets thrown offboard, so Stryker gets left behind to handle her. You get bits and pieces of their story, but at the end of the movie, you know something tragic happened to them. Ala, SAW 2, 3 and 4 with Donnie Walberg's character. For Sonya, Kira, Kano, and Jax - you can get the chick from Chuck, the lead singer from the Pussy Cat dolls (because she looks arabic), Stonecold Steve Austin, and Tae Diggs (if he's game, he's an accredited actor, and this film needs that), respectively. Shao Khan (if you go that route), would be Batista - I'm only naming wrestlers, cause guess wat? All of these dudes are BIG DUDES. And provided that none of these guys personas shine through, they'd do a good enough job for the roles they're asked for. Lui Kang can be Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle), or shit, Jet Li. Ok, I'm done.... well, almost. You could also do a "re-imagining" of just the 2nd movie. As the 1st one was good enough... rebuild. And bring back Shang-a-tang!!!!

MORTAL KOMBAT is Not a Sequel - Feb 08, 2008 - 09:22pm
Mortal Kombat wasn't for kids then and it isn't now. The best part about now is that the people who originally appreciated the MK series in all of its blood and guts are of age now... you know what that means? You can go Michael Bay on us and make it edgy, ie, make it rated R. As far as casting, keep the nationality of the characters relatively consistent to those of the game.. Raiden (the correct way to spell it) was a Japanese god from what I understood. He should be Japanese or at least Korean. Here's an idea, get Cary Tagawa to do it. It'd be a cool inside joke (he's the only good actor that remained from the first movie ^_^).

Destro Has been Cast?? - Jan 30, 2008 - 05:07pm
Yea, lets assume that Vosloo will be Destro - otherwise, I'm gonna puke and then NOT see this movie. Thundercats couldn't come any sooner - at least somewhere on THAT film gets it...go CGI!

Arnold Returning to TERMINATOR SALVATION Trilogy - Dec 29, 2007 - 09:15am
I agree 20105, Furlong should return, give him like a clause in the contract saying he's due for a $100 mil payday if he shapes up and stays that way until post-prod of T6, I'm sure he'll do it ;) A guy who looks like Reese lwas casted for TSCC, we could use him. As far as Arnie is concerned, he's a fucking terminator....CGI his ASS!!!

Arnold Returning to TERMINATOR SALVATION Trilogy - Dec 29, 2007 - 08:45am
LOL at metalpause :p

Arnold Returning to TERMINATOR SALVATION Trilogy - Dec 29, 2007 - 08:43am
mlauzon, Maybe you should go back to reading books, because you're not good at reading anything else. You know anything authors write for movies are pure fanfiction and seldom canon. Ask the geeks who were disappointed with Star Wars. There were several books out there written to tie the events of T2 and Judgement Day and T3 came along and made it irrelevant. I said that in the THIRD movie we get the T-1000 and the 2nd T-800. As a homage to the best Terminator movie of them all, it'd be best for John to reunite with his old buddy at the end of the war, and at the END of the series. It'd provide a major twist in the series, add the drama needed at the end of the 6th movie, and make more sense to the timeline of the mythos, because I'm sorry, the TX WASN'T as advanced as the T-1000. So go back into your cave, Toolbag.

Arnold Returning to TERMINATOR SALVATION Trilogy - Dec 29, 2007 - 02:04am
OMG, if they used my idea, I'm gonna crap my pants. Arnold should be part of the cliffhanger for the first 1, and you see the original arnie and kyle sent in the beginning of the 2nd, the TX sent at the end of that one, and then you see the T2 bots sent in the 3rd at the end of the war...that'd be SWEET! Here's hoping they do everything else I mentioned on this site too ^_^

DRAGON BALL Z Hits Theaters Next Summer - Nov 14, 2007 - 08:36am
And THIS my friends is why it should've been done in CGI! Shit, the tards behind Beowulf could've made their version liveaction. I bet my LIFE and that of my future offspring that this movie will end up like DOA...DOA.

WGA Update: 2008 Film Schedule Covered - Nov 05, 2007 - 12:14pm
Um... maybe HALF the writers deserve the increase , the other half should be fired. It's time to start picking who's worth what in Hollywood and drop the dead weight. It's time for some new blood in Tinseltown...or am I wrong?

Butler Out of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK - Oct 31, 2007 - 01:17pm
Great news!!! Now he should hussle over to the WB and be the new Superman ;)

SPIDER-MAN 3: Two Disc Special Edition - Oct 28, 2007 - 03:15pm
I think Grace was a horrible choice for Venom as well. Personally, he should've been originally casted as Parker. Notice how when the two were in the Bugle together Grace out-Petered McGuire? A better choice for Brock would've been Liev Schrieber from the Scream movies. He can play the obsessed nut type (look at Scream, the Manchurian Candidate), he's bigger than Grace physically, and just LOOKS like Eddie (dye his hair and put some highlights in and viola!). And they should've INTRODUCED Venom, but have him be a thorn in Parker's side for the next set of movies, where finally in the last sequel, they make amends (spinoff opportunity). But oh well, Hollywood is filled with nuts who think their vision is best and scoff (and belittle) at things that worked in comics. Venom is a major villain, and a successful one... and they could've used Venom as a major cash cow.

Mark Millar to Pitch SUPERMAN Sequel - Oct 23, 2007 - 09:46am
Meh, Kevin Smith wrote a script before and look what happened to that one. It was a good Death story too... the WB execs know JACK about Superman. So my hypothesis was right... Superman will NEVER match up to the shit the Matrix movies put out there... blame Japanese cinema for that one ;)

Butt Kicking Double Feature - Oct 23, 2007 - 09:44am
Why not? It's a war... you can send many troops back if it takes place in a future where Skynet is no longer desperate and has time to. And from what I gather, there's gonna be a human element too...again, Sarah is wanted for killing one of the government's shining stars.

Butt Kicking Double Feature - Oct 22, 2007 - 05:00pm
Hehe, slackey, you're actually wrong. It does take place after T2. Did you see the pilot already? They run into the Dyson family again after the Death of Miles. Sarah is branded as his murderer and is on the run.

SARAH CONNOR Begins Between 24 - Oct 17, 2007 - 01:16pm
And I'm sorry, this actually COULD beat out heroes!

SARAH CONNOR Begins Between 24 - Oct 17, 2007 - 01:15pm
I've already seen TSCC's original pilot episode and I must say, I'm VERY surprised with how awesome the first episode was. Within the first 10 minutes of the show, you're sucked into this world that has you pull a Highlander and forget the events of a badly written sequel (T3). And the best part is, the show keeps going! It barely looses any momentum and has a similar feel of the other Terminator movies. The chick who plays Sarah is the Spartan queen from 300, and she's an awesome replacement for Linda Hamilton. And the twist at the end of the first episode will leave you all trying to pick your jaws off the floor. My only complaint is the time frame the story originally occurrs. The events of T2 occured in 1992, so this story should take place in 1994. But they establish early on that the story for this series takes place in like 1998, two years after the events of T2 - which is a major f*ckup and they need to correct, immediately. Even though, this isn't "cannon" because it conflicts with the events of T3, I'd be willing to ignore T3 and chalk it up as non-canon, and just watch this show. I just hope that they show how Skynet gets developed, how John grows to become the leader he's supposed to be (and not the pansy he is now), and have Sarah die at the end of the series, caught up in the nuclear holocaust that follows when she and others try to pull the plug on Skynet.

THUNDERCATS Grabs a Director - Oct 11, 2007 - 07:45am
This is awesome news, I sooooo wanted this movie, if any, to be done in CGI, like Final Fantasy. And it's even better news that the guy from Gears of War is doing it! They should do a story similar to Wildstorm Comics' Thundercats: The Return. In that story, Lion-O gets put in a hyperbolic time chamber like DragonBall Z, for training and to basically grow up. He's there for like 5 years and when he comes back, he finds Third Earth in ruins. And he finds that the Wiley Kids have grow up, but they end up as slaves for a once thought deceased Mum Ra. Awesome premise and this would be just like TMNT where time has passed and a new series can unfold.

Tyrese Gibson For GREEN LANTERN in JLA? - Sep 28, 2007 - 12:47pm
If the audience is going to take this movie seriously, you have to attach more serious actors to the film few of the aforementioned will work. I personally think Tae Diggs would do well for the role...and he doesn't HAVE to be the token street n!gga.

Dillahunt Mysterious in SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES - Sep 24, 2007 - 10:03am
Count me in on this one, I'll be more than happy to pretend T3 never happened. The film sucked ballz from the moment Arnold suddenly had two pocket nukes tucked away in his gut. I thought Skynet couldn't send back BOMBS?! And it seems like they're gonna approach the series in the way T3 should've been...with the inevitable development of Skynet and the Connors out to stop it. Maybe end the series similar to T3, but have Sarah lie to John as she goes to try and stop Skynet by herself and gets caught up in the nuclear holocaust, much like in her dreams...

Maria Bello Knows Kung-Fu in MUMMY 3 - Sep 12, 2007 - 09:09am
I'd give my left nut to star in a 69 scene with her ;p

Routh, Bale Out of JUSTICE LEAGUE - Aug 22, 2007 - 09:07am
Why not just kinda hint at the Superheroes earlier days through flashbacks and maybe stock footage (batman begins, superman returns) and just do a Kingdom Come movie with older counterparts of everyone?? I'm sure people would be just as intrigued as we were when we saw superman with grayed sideburns and a black and red S!

Update on Warner Bros' JLA Movie - Aug 20, 2007 - 10:24am
And obviously, if they're gonna do a JLA movie, with Singer doin his homo-centric take on Supes - they'd be better off doing the Death of Superman story. Have this film take place after the Singer films and rather than have superman come back - leave him dead and have the team go their own separate paths in the end, kicking off the spin-off movies.

Update on Warner Bros' JLA Movie - Aug 20, 2007 - 10:21am
Simple, have Batman be "on assignment" and have Robin be his replacement.... OR, just bring back Kilmer, or Clooney from the old Bat-chise. Hell, maybe Keaton would be game for it.

SPIDER-MAN 4 Needs a Writer - Jul 30, 2007 - 01:52pm
I'll go on record to say that I LOVED Spidey 3...even though it was a bit congested. This along with Batman Begins proved that you CAN have a good multi-villain movie. I do agree though, Venom should've been introduced in movie 3 like in the end of the film and maybe have him be the recurring villain in the next trilogy (like Harry was in the first). Venom should've taken the backseat in 3, 4, and 5 and the focus would be on major villains and in 6, we have the final confrontation between Peter and Brock and Brock sacrifices himself in some way against Carnage to save someone he cares about (Stacy??)... I think that would've been a better way of doing him. But hey, worry not guys... like someone posted on this site before, there is STILL part of the symbiote left at Connor's. The next movie could have the Sinister 6 with a new Venom, if you check Wikipedia, you'll see that there were SEVERAL Venoms (yes Venoms) besides Brock. Maybe have the clone saga in movie form and have an evil clone of Petey pick it up and take on the mantle of Venom...I dunno.

Det. Matthews Back in SAW IV? - Jul 19, 2007 - 03:47pm
WTF?? That's awesome... I wish he'd come back for the 4th installment. I actually thought he died because Jigsaw had to "finish" Amanda's job.

INDY Sequels Rumor Squashed? - Jul 17, 2007 - 09:06am
Hmmm.... The Arc's return, aliens referred to as gods...government agency trying to control its technology. Seen that anime already, it's called Spriggan.

Imagi Sets Writer Kamen for GATCHAMAN - Jun 18, 2007 - 07:32am
PLEAAAAASE have these guys do Thundercats too. If I see Tobey McGuire as Lion-O I'm gonna piss Tapioca.

A Place - May 02, 2007 - 09:45am
Since when did NON from Superman II start lifting cars?? Man, life as a washed-up Kryptonian must be rough....

Newest "Spider-Man 3" Trailer Now Online - Apr 12, 2007 - 04:17pm
Venom can't and won't die in this movie!!! It seems like they're at some contruction site at the end (where's the fire or loud noises to weaken Venom???) Hopefully, that shot of spidey falling is a cliffhanger for 3.

Tobin Bell lives on in "Saw" 4 and 5 - Mar 17, 2007 - 09:43am
They're referring to the scene where Jigsaw is filming that blonde and he says "I love you." If you really watch SAW III that flashback did just come out of nowhere and it had nothing to do with the story. I figured that they'd use that for the sequel... good planning nonetheless. You can't say other horror movies have that foresight and consideration for future sequels.

Gerard Butler joins "Escape From New York" - Mar 13, 2007 - 09:56am
Gerard seems to knock out every role he's in. Too bad my dream wasn't realized when they casted Routh instead of him to play Superman. Reign of Fire had Routh and Bale standing side by side, and I was like, "Wow, Batman and Superman - right there!!"

Raimi back for fourth "Spider-Man"? - Jan 17, 2007 - 07:28am
I agree, Dunst is Sears catalog (I've seen her in person - not hot at all). Lindsay Lohan if she can make it thru 12 step would be a better fit. Being that Dunst is a natural blonde, they should've made her Gwen in flicks 1-3, so then we could see her snap that stack of dimes she calls a neck at the end of this flick. And unlike other trilogies, Spiderman has DECADES worth of content to work with (Spiderslayers, Sinister 6, Electro?!, Carnage, Clone Wars, hahaha, and even deadlier...Ben Reilly and the Scarlett Spider). I'd love to see Sony get the rights of Punisher and do a X-over film, in the comics, the pairing always made for a good read ^_^

Gwyneth Paltrow joins "Iron Man" - Jan 17, 2007 - 07:21am
Man, just think...if Stan Lee owned the sole rights to all of these characters he'd be a GODZILLIONAIRE. I feel bad for him - it's one of the reasons why I chose not to enter video games/comic books... I would hate forfeiting my ideas to a faceless, thankless bohemoth. But this movie is gonna be a sure hit and may be the 2nd highest grossing comic film behind Spiderman. I never followed the comic, but the animated show was my favorite behind Spiderman and X-men. Maybe the Mandarin could be played by Jet Li, Watanabe, or some new Japanese/Hong Kong star trying to make their break into American films.

Raimi back for fourth "Spider-Man"? - Jan 16, 2007 - 09:31am
I also remember someone saying they should fast forward a few years into the future and replace most of the key cast members for a new trilogy, that's the best way to do it don't you guys think? So now you don't have to really fudge with the core of the mythos and you can incorporate a backstory into the newer movies, explaining what happened to Venom in the years following 3, etc.

Raimi back for fourth "Spider-Man"? - Jan 16, 2007 - 09:29am
I remember when I said on cinescape that MJ should and may die in Spidey 3, everyone jumped on my back about it.... yea, she needs to go the way of the comic version of GW, it'd add more depth to the character of Spidey and an interesting twist to the movie mythos. LOL, maybe they'll end up turning her into a new Carnage...lol, I hope not.

"Spider-Man 3" 12 inch Venom Figures - Jan 15, 2007 - 09:46am
This is gonna rock! I'm diggin the mutation of the black spidey suit - essentially making the webbing part of the big spider on the chest, and the veinage - very nice!

William Shatner talks "Star Trek XI" - Jan 11, 2007 - 09:36am
Why don't they tie this into Generations and actually have a slight prequel to that when Kirk is about to get stuck in that time warp and he looks back on his life, as he believes his life is about to come to an end....that way, we stick to the continuity, and this would be a sidequel if anything.

Batteries Not Included - Jan 08, 2007 - 11:38pm
Did anyone else turn My Buddy into Chucky??? LOL, that burn from the cigarette lighter was awesome ^_^

Cameron's "Avatar" pushed to '09 - Dec 22, 2006 - 01:52pm
Sounds like we have our director for the next Spiderman thrillogy ^_^

Thomas Dekker joins "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" - Dec 11, 2006 - 03:30pm
Hmmm.... they technically COULD have terminators in this, but play around in the background. You could have one terminator sent to kill John or those in his brigade, or even be the one to share the technology with the US gov to create Skynet. But at the end of the series, you'd have to end it with this terminator being destroyed somehow, possibly by another terminator in a final battle. Or, you can do visions of the war to come either thru the eyes of Sarah or John. Depending on how they do this, the series could be a hit or a bomb.

THE SHADOW Knows Raimi & Columbia - Dec 11, 2006 - 03:05pm
Because people have a bad taste in their mouths over the Baldwin debacle, they should take a completely different spin on this. Maybe they can update this to modern times and have the Shadow be a ninja....like Snake Eyes from GI Joe!!! :p

New "Spider-Man 3" hits the web! - Nov 14, 2006 - 02:36pm
That pic with the symbiote attacking it's host is of Eddie Brock, notice the spikey hair. I'm just curious...will the Venom suit look like the one in the comics or will it look like a black version of the doppleganger Spidey, minus the 6 arms? ^_^

Lena Headey joins "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" - Nov 09, 2006 - 08:57am
If I could bust one in this chick just ONE time, I wouldn't be forced to kill everyone :p

"Incredible Hulk" gets release date - Nov 08, 2006 - 03:23pm
I dunno, i liked the split screen thing. It was something different for sure. I don't think they should do it again in the sequel. I appreciated this movie as a whole and the direction they went with the hulk's origin, it made it more complicated/interesting than getting caught in a gamma explosion. I also think the fight scene at the end WAS anti-climatic... it wouldve been good if they ended up with the hulk just being captured by the troops - having him break out or rehabbed and released for a fight in the sequel. I think it was the script moreso than Bana's performance that killed the movie. So rather than make the sequel DOA in the theatres, it'd be best to bring the original cast back and just change production staff. I thought the casting was good enough...I mean J.C.? Nuff Said!!

"Incredible Hulk" gets release date - Nov 07, 2006 - 02:54pm
Can someone PLEASE tell me why everyone was against Eric Bana's performance?? I mean, give me a REALLY good reason why no one liked him? I personally thought he was ok... it just seems like no one was really interested in a Hulk film and that's why it bombed... aside from the fact that the production budget was a little inflated.

Batman vs. Superman - Nov 01, 2006 - 02:49pm
After each respective franchise do 2 sequels they should rap it up with this bad-mama-jammie! Maybe use a story where Poison Ivy brainwashes Supes or have Lex come to Gotham trying to take over Wayne Enterprises and it leads to his ultimate downfall by the hands of the World's Finest.

Imagi Animation options ASTRO BOY - Sep 14, 2006 - 06:29am
Astroboy? ASTROBOY?! Who gives a sh!t about astroyboy when you got THUNDERCATS?! Who are you tryin to attract to go see this movie, 40 year olds?? Sorry to say this but they weren't really the ones who accelerated the anime boom of the late 90s... you gotta appeal to the Ninendo Gens to reap in REAL dough.

Josh Friedman talks SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES - Sep 07, 2006 - 03:12pm
I hate when shows and such deviate from the original mythos, I say no stalking terminators in the series - it'd be more effective if they were present in dream sequences (and then we could get better action from it too) or if we see them in the future-present as eye candy just before we go back in time to watch Sarah's story. I partially agree with Browbeat, the future war should be gritty like the first movie - the war presented in T3 was too clean for me.. I didn't feel the peril so much. If they do another trilogy, I think the advanced models should be presented in the 2nd and 3rd movies (I wrote a big spiel about this before on this site). If they just do one movie (which in my eyes would be a bad move because this war is supposed to span years if not decades), they should show up in the end. But I honestly don't see why a future Skynet wouldn't send weapons back in time TO THE FUTURE WAR and to advance itself at an exponential rate...we could see some really cool sh!t being brought along to stop the resistance. It would be something that would 1-up the other films, and hey, that's not necessarily a bad thing...remember, T2 started this bigger and better thing to begin with ;)

Josh Friedman talks SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES - Sep 07, 2006 - 10:16am
And is it just me, or did T3 leave the impression that John STILL wasn't ready to lead the mankind into war...just a thought....

Josh Friedman talks SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES - Sep 07, 2006 - 10:14am
They better bring back Bein or I'm boycotting!! Hehe, unless some really cool sh!t goes down in T4 :p

Josh Friedman talks SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES - Sep 07, 2006 - 10:04am
Or, you can take a page from the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, and start every show with a scene from John's future, during the war (this is where we see the terminators) and through narrative he mentions something about how this reminds him of the time he was with his mother. The show would then start from there, 10 years before or some junk. See, it's not so hard if you have the right people throwing ideas out there ^_^

Josh Friedman talks SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES - Sep 07, 2006 - 09:59am
If they're smart, they should have two parallel stories: 1) focus on Sarah & John on the run 2) Show the development of Skynet. I'm sorry - the explanation of skynet's return in T3 was absolute shite, I would've loved the movie if it centered around the development of skynet following the events of T2. Maybe develop the story so we see skynet as a learning "child", being cute at times, but as it learns more and more about the world, it begins to view man as an irrational and destructive force, thus putting out there it's reason to destroy mankind...to simply survive. And you can show the terminators in development at Norad or some sh!t and have "dreams" of the future where we see terminators we've never seen before like the T-1,000,000 and the ones Kyle talked about in T1. This show could be good, if done right....

Nolan talks BATMAN - Aug 30, 2006 - 08:46am
Damn, there's another name that could've been thrown in the mix David Frikkin Bowie! He would've made a creepy clown prince of crime, and he already has that smart style down. But hey, lets give ol' Heath a try and hopefully this movie will have some of the things that made the Killing Joke awesome! LOL, so why not twist things a bit and have Barbara Gordon get shot in this one, haha, a guarentee we won't hear the name "Batgirl" again ^_^

ROCKY BALBOA Poster - Aug 03, 2006 - 07:19pm
LOL to skyhawk. And dax0761, do you really think I'd waste my time on wikipedia tryin to figure out who lost the belt to Foreman? I got other important things to do in my life like bang my girlfriend who's a hottie (prob can't say that about yours). So uh...get bent.

ROCKY BALBOA Poster - Aug 03, 2006 - 07:51am
This may seem like a dumb idea for a movie, but it really isn't. Ali came back as an older man to win back the title and more recently, so did George Foreman when he fought Michael Moore. It's a completely realistic premise, some fighters still think they got it to step up to the young guns so they test their fate. I love the Rocky series, although 5 was a joke, and I think this one may be true to its roots. Count me in!

SPIDER-MAN 3 footage premiers at Comic-Con - Jul 25, 2006 - 09:07pm
I watched the preview of spidey 3 again. Yea, it's not venom, it's Franko. If you watch it closely, you see someone wearing dark clothing with like an open jacket or something. I went to the page below and saw some posters for the movie, low and behold, Franco is wearing the same suit the guy had on the glider. http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=23954 Hope that helps ^_^

Singer on SUPERMAN Sequel - Jul 22, 2006 - 06:09pm
I honestly don't see why Warner Bros. doesn't post a myspace page for the next movie and have people post their ideas for it, so they can realize what we all want to see. If they really want to make money, that would be the way to go about this, and it would generate buzz, the first movie to actually consider what the fans want. But I guarentee most would say NO TO ZOD, lol, unless he introduces Doomsday and it's Non with a bunch of those crystals embedded in his flesh, lol.

Singer on SUPERMAN Sequel - Jul 22, 2006 - 06:07pm
I agree with one of the prior postings SUPERMAN LIVES would be a great way to kick this franchise into overdrive. You could make that the 3rd flick and have things in the second one that relates to this, maybe vauguely introduce Brainiac in the beginning in space or whereever, and have them finally how up in the end as a cliffhanger. Or you can just bring em in the 3rd movie. After all, Donner did this with Zod and crew in Superman, and we finally saw who these guys actually were in Superman 2. That's how you get people to see movies, you gotta bait them. But yea, just tweak Kevin Smith's Superman LIVES script and either have that as the next movie, or make it the 3rd one and tie it into the second movie with Zod. I liked how he had Superman fight Doomsday on an Earth shrowded in darkness (thanks to Brainiac) and as a result he completely lost his powers and died from the intense fighting! It was a very creative way to bring down the man of steel - and it really hasn't been done before. But people are tired of waiting to see excellence, you have to fix this or the next movie will bomb in comparison to the money spent on this - trust me. You could even use The Kingdom story arch for a reference, being that Superman is now the Messiah... And one final word of advice, if you're gonna waste 200 million to film something, why not do at least SOMETHING on the cheap and film 2 movies back to back. Look at Peter Jackson and the Wachowski Bros., that's how you can make a ton of cash and at the same time, use your actors now and let then let them go and pursue other interests. I'm sure most of us would agree that it'd be cool to see in the end credits of "Superman 2" a line that reads "Coming soon: Superman LIVES" or something. I honestly don't see why Warner Bros. doesn't post a myspace page for the next movie and have people post their ideas for it, so they can realize what we all want to see. If they really want to make money, that would be the

Singer on SUPERMAN Sequel - Jul 22, 2006 - 06:06pm
I disagree, Brainiac would be cool - but it has to be done right. AND Mr. Singer if you read these things, read this: DON'T REMAKE SUPERMAN 2. Quite frankly, people were dissappointed with this new movie, if the fact that Pirates of the Carribean outdid your movie. Quite frankly, SR could be by far one of the most hyped movies to date, it was up there with Spiderman. But look, the movie didn't make Spiderman money, why is that? Replay value. I personally wouldn't want to see SR again, I thought it was a waste of time - if was a good movie, but it was dated (because even Blade raised the bar on superhero movies). With your flawless execution of recreating the Donner universe, you brought us something that was dated and rather flat. You have to go big and bright, this is superman we're talking about here...so why was it that the 1 min Spiderman trailer appealed to me more than your entire 2 hour film? You played it safe with this movie and even with the two X-men films. You need to take a page from Cameron, add the human drama, which you're already good at, but when the action comes, you must bring it on! You have to blow shit up and make it jaw-dropping. When a superhero has to use all the weapons in his arsenal to save the world that's what would make the movie gripping and the audience REALLY feel the stakes set in the movie. Don't hold back, I know you can pull out something that would even make the Matrix look like Muppets in Space. Please use Dragonball Z as a point of reference for this kind of action! I'm sure most here would agree with me, it's bad enough we have to wait to 2009 to see the next one, but by that time, Spidey 3 would've came out and people are gonna have an appetite for things along those lines - SATISFY THEM! In that respect, you MUST BRING ON NEW VILLAINS. If you want Zod back, fine, but make it worth something and tied to something bigger, like the coming of Doomsday or Brainiac...or even better BOTH. I agree wit

New SPIDER-MAN 3 poster hits web - Jul 14, 2006 - 11:45pm
Yea... I'm hoping Venom's the constant in the next 3 films, filling in the role left behind by Osborn. I'm curious about the fate of MJ tho, being that Stacy is finally showing up in the film. I'm praying that she dies, hehe, what a sh!tstorm that'd brew! That's what you get for not having a rack like Lindsay Lohan :p

New SPIDER-MAN 3 poster hits web - Jul 14, 2006 - 07:26am
Here's the REAL kicker, if you take a closer look at the poster, the left side of the spider symbol differs from the right...the right side has another symbol that's kinda fading into something else. Haha, the question is, which symbol is the venom symbol and which one is spidey's. I'm guessing the one on the right belongs to ol' Blacky, lol.

Weekend Box Office Report - May 29, 2006 - 12:08pm
hahahahahahahaahahaaa, yep his ass got fragged like a mofo on Quake. But hey, maybe they'll twist this b!tch so Xavier during his encounter with Pheonix went class 5. This can be what allowed him to transfer bodies, but unfortunately, creates the Onslaught persona. They could make class 5 be some state of enlightement that makes you a raving psycho... could be cool.

Favreau Talks More IRON MAN - May 25, 2006 - 02:46pm
I say look at the two Pierces. Pierce Brosnan or Guy Pierce. Both can pull off that rather suave, billionaire look, and both would be interesting as an alcoholic. I'm sure with his Bond career being over, Brosnan would love to do another franchise along those lines. Just give em light goatees and either one will be fine. And no Cruise, like Kirsten Dunst, his ego would eventually get in the way of making sequels - we don't need any of that action ;)

THE DA VINCI CODE - May 20, 2006 - 03:59am
I didn't read the book, so I'm coming from completely from someone who likes movies. I personally loved the movie - it managed to go places that Stigmata didn't go. And we didn't have to deal with the dry sarcasm or overt arrogance of Ben Affleck that plagued Dogma (sorry, I'm not one of you artsy smoes that dig this film - I personally would prefer not to see it again). When I went, people laughed at the right spots in the movie I thought. Haha, it was just funny that some people tried clapping in the end (but you could tell that most didn't know how they should react to the movie with everyone else being there). It was a solid thriller, but I think you'll get more of an adrenaline rush when the Omen remake drops (provided that you've never seen the original). And I hear critics b!tch about R.Howard technique of using too many flashbacks to explain things, instead of just telling us. Well, in the art of filmmaking, your goal is to appeal to the audience at-large. And if it isn't already obvious, this includes people with short attention spans and people who just don't get things verbally (just try learning calculus that way and you'll see what I mean). I think Ron did a decent job at telling a rather intriguing story. From someone who didn't read the book, I thought this movie was put together pretty well and it did spark my interest to look further into some ideas conveyed in the film. This movie could also be what sells more copies of the book. In situations like this, I think you should watch the adaptation of a popular work before you delve into the original work. An adaptation should always be considered as a table of contents of sorts to the original work rather than a direct translation of it. Without reading the book, I held little bias in my evaluation of the film - and I personally would recommend it to anyone that asks. Like Stigmata and Dogma, the message is more or less to question what you believe in and not just follo

Personally, I think Superboy Prime should've made it to OA and wiped out the Universe. The Universe is too damn congested and needs a thorough scrubbing. I mean how long is it gonna take for supes to drop the red underwear?! I mean come on, if Batman and Robin can change his attire why not supes? Jeez, you can even have him sport different uniforms just for fun... it would at least make things more interesting.... and something tells me Prime is just gonna come back aged as the next Zod....jeezus.

Fehr Signs on for EVIL 3 - Apr 17, 2006 - 06:51pm
Oh, and if you want to see a PERFECT adaptation of a game - see Final Fantasy Advent Children. It may be a 'sequel' to the game, but it's frikkin awesome and has fights that would even make the Matrix boys cream their pants. The best anime EVER.

Fehr Signs on for EVIL 3 - Apr 17, 2006 - 06:47pm
My top 3 The Omen Children of the Corn (had nightmares for YEARS after seeing this badboy) Fire in the Sky (not necessarily a horror pic, but that sh!t terrorifed me when i was a tween). Resident Evil rocked as a zombie movie, I mean THAT'S WHY WE HAVE ZOMBIE MOVIES AGAIN NOW - it resurrected the genre. I just wish Romero would've directed the first RE as originally planned, with the game designer there to do consulting - it could've been cool. Heck, why not have Romero direct THIS one??? Then they could film it in my hometown like the original 'dead' movies ;p

Germany's Stallion is WICKED - Apr 13, 2006 - 11:30pm
I dunno I liked Wicked City and Spawn wasn't that bad (although I'd never buy it on DVD). You gotta get a young director tho with vision to do this right, like the Warchowski Brothers or some junk - someone who's familiar with anime as a genre and know EXACTLY how to emulate that on film. This film is apparently gonna be made for the anime otaku's out there (because it'll bomb if it's not marketed by the same people who are doing the silent hill/matrix previews), so if Hollywood wants to make ANY money from it, they better do it right visually. But yea, this will bomb no doubt - Hollywood's too blind and arrogant to know this...

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 09, 2006 - 02:25am
Yea, it would be kinda cool to tie the Alien/Terminator franchises as suggested by gazelle. I definitely agree that all of the terminators SHOULDN'T look like arnold - I mean, after all, they're infiltration Units. An army of Arnies would defeat the whole purpose of the series. Personally, I think a love story would detract from the bleakness of the movie which is why I think Danes' character should get axed along the way (no pun intended). That's what made the first Terminator so good, Kyle died at the end and Sarah had to deal with that loss and overcome. If this is going to be a one-movie thing, yea, we only need Arnold - but if they're setting out to make a second trilogy, other cameos could be used as a selling point (ie, Buba Fett of Star Wars - man, I hate SW but I often use that as an example, ugh). Yea, it would be awesome if in the new movie(s) we hear about some of the other things Skynet has done with its time traveling - maybe have soldiers from the resistance tell stories of how they were victimized before the war (maybe providing more insight on how skynet came to be). And heck, if you really want to get crazy, who says that Skynet can't send technology back to help itself during judgement day...which is why we have the T-1000 or even T-10000000 - who knows. Just an idea....

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 08, 2006 - 06:25pm
browbeat, you're a d@mn genius!

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 08, 2006 - 03:11pm
Thanks browbeat! Well, the 3 Star Wars prequels did pretty well considering - right? If they juice it up with special FX and a better story than T3, it could do well i think. It's all about execution my friend ;) Haha, they could do all 3 movies with the budget of Bryan Singer's Super-bomb coming out this summer. I agree mckracken, we need some cameo's to sell this film. Beihn MUST be in the movie as Kyle - I'm sure he'd do it, as his career is kinda in the sh!tter anyway and he DID do T2 - it just didn't make the final cut. And c'mon, get Linda onboard for the last movie as a terminator. Pay her as much as you're paying Arnie. She's doing TV now, so you know her film career is on life-support :p. This return would kinda hint back at T2 when the T1000 did the same thing. But unlike T2, at this point in his life, he's been through so much trauma (death of so many people, potentially his girl too) that deep down, this rock of a man is actually breaking. So when he sees his mom 'mysteriously' return at the end of the series (mind you decades after her death) it would pit John against an inner demon he's struggled with secretly throughout most of the war. The series began with Sarah and should end with her (or at least some form of her). That's one thing I liked about the planet of the apes movies, the series began with Heston in it, and ended with Heston. Haha, I think Predator V Terminator would be awesome, especially if the Predators are the X-factor that tips the scale in the resistance's favor. It'd be cool to see the predator's reaction when they find out that these 'humans' can see through their cloaks.

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 08, 2006 - 01:55am
inal farewell to the series.) It'd be cool if they did it this way...but the execs in Hollywood aren't too bright, so prepare for crap my friends :)

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 08, 2006 - 01:46am
3rd movie, Skynet is losing and is getting desperate, creates the T1000 and other vicious gadgets - some using nukes and bio-agents. They even create a Terminator to look like an aged version of Sarah, his step-parents, best friend from T2 or Danes (your pick) to try and confuse John - it almost works. At this point they're IN Skynet, which is now somewhat centralized in NORAD. They maybe create some kind of Anti-Skynet virus to bring down the supernetwork. At this point, Skynet sends its 'perfect' Terminator back in time, the T1000 (Robert Patrick cameo - YES!!). Throughout this movie, we see john carrying on a keychain the microchip for the T2 model. At the end of the movie, Skynet is going crazy because the virus is making its way through the system, the resistance is winning - one by one, the machines directly link to skynet are stopping (no direct commands made by skynet as specified by the T2 Arnie in the director's cut). Meanwhile, John's running around in Skynet, trying to find the warehouse silo w/ the T-800 model that's compatible with that chip on his keychain. He finds it - but some models are already activated! He manages to escape all of that chaos and grabs THE model, so he swaps the pre-existing chip with the one he pre-programmed, and after some more fighting (John is relishing the fact that he's back with his buddy for the last time), he sends Arnie back and by this time Skynet sends the T1000 back and the war ends - the virus brings down the entire network. The sign of this is that skynet's forces just STOPPED moving, like in the comic book done by Alex Ross ;) We see flying HKs crashing, etc as the resistance rejoices. And as some of the smoke clears, we see the sun come up for the first time in YEARS. End of movie 3. But yea, because Arnie's getting old, they should write out all 3 movies, and then film all the parts Arnie has to fill in one shot (we can use a double for T4, T5, but T6 we should have Arnie do it as a f

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 08, 2006 - 01:24am
istance wins their first battle and the strategy that they used could be used on a large scale, so it looks like the end of the war could come a lot sooner than expected; but then, we get some kind of narrative about how this is only the beginning and how with every step in the direction of victory mankind takes, Skynet takes 10. During this narrative, we get a shot of the first Terminator assembly line and u see a rubbery, but cool looking figure of what looks like Arnold - he turns his head a little and u see his eye glaring red through the smoke filled house of pain. End of movie 1. In the second movie, we fast forward a bit into the future, ala Star Wars, and the first half hour or so covers Kyle and Skynet making preparations for time travel. Immediately after Kyle gets sent back to protect John, we get the Txs wrecking havok (this is possibly where Daines can die), amongst other new technologies, more efficient killing machines hard-wired for mass destruction, not necessarily infiltration (this is the stuff that would make James Cameron wish he stayed onboard). At the same time, they find out that Skynet set up another time machine - so they assume that they're going to try and send another terminator back. This is where the TX gets sent and the T-850 (like in TB's Planet of the apes movie, time traveling doesn't have to be linear). John gets critically injured by the T-850 that supposedly killed him, Danes sends the T-850 back - for the remainder of the movie, she tries to lead the resistance, but she fails - dies. But as another cliffhanger, John awakens from his near fatal injury to find out his girl is gone....now we got ourselves a grudge. End of the 2nd movie. they actually ke We see the predecessor At the end of each film, you have Skynet/Resistance send bac BUT, they should take a page out of Peter Jackson's book and film footage

T4 Looking Arnieless - Apr 08, 2006 - 01:12am
There's another paradox kinda too, in T2, John asks Arnie why doesn't Skynet send a bomb back to blow him up. Arnie says it can only send back organisms, yadayada. Well, in T3 what basically is the T-850, yup, a bomb. The producers of T3 screwed up everything (John Connor dies!?!), so we have some clean up to do in any of the potential sequels. I think the original idea of doing another 3 movies is a great idea. That way, you have another Star Wars epic essentially - and you can fully develop the story. First and foremost, we establish somehow that with each movie, we're dealing with a different future from the one that was described before (T1's is diff from T2's, etc). Every time someone got sent back, the future changed - after all "the future is not yet set." That way, we eliminate some paradoxes, like why wasn't the TX, T1000, or even the T-850 sent back in the first movie? A computer AI would always go for the easy kill (how many times have you played Super Street Fighter and b!tched that the computer cheated?). And because of T3, John now knows not to trust ANY Terminator - so he WON'T die (at least as described in T3), and for all we know, Claire Dane's character could easier be rubbed out by the end of T4. Now the next 3 movies are unpredictable - outside of the fact that John knows that he has to send people back. The first film should take off where the last movie left off....like someone said tho, maybe one year later after the dust has settled. By this time, Skynet was already making moves to wipe out the pockets of humanity that were left. Every 6 months or so coming out with new weapons of genocide. There are predecessors to the terminators and hunter killers - but they're primative models of what we seen so far(the HK still kinda looks like the one from T3, just bigger). During this movie, John meets his father and they develop a bond and Kyle wonders why John's so facinated with him. At the end of the first film, the res

it p!sses me off too. But this is just the way things are, the only thing we can do as fans is boycott the crap, like we did with the old Bat-chise and support the films that aren't TOTAL crap and suspend your (fictious) disbelief and pretend that these films are a WHAT IF/Elseworlds extension of the current continuity. Hehe, but that doesn't mean I'm going to see Superman... I don't see how you can have a Waterworld budget and NOT have a supervillian. It's a shame when a video game adaptation outshines the movie that it's based off of. And not to sound arrogant, but in response to that me having bad ideas, before the movie was even greenlit, I initally thought it would be a great idea to have Metallo to be the next villain, because he isn't Doomsday (you need build-up for that) and it would be Superman's greatest challenge from Earth - aside from Batman, LOL....oh, but I just suck for ideas - blow me guys.

Banks Talks Romance & Black Suit for Spidey 3 - Mar 29, 2006 - 11:52pm
Jwesty, I knew some schmuck would call me out for posting but that was my first time EVER posting after visiting this site for like FIVE years. I'm sick of clowns like you scummy fanboys b!tching about the way Hollywood does things. So I hope the point to follow will close the book on Spidey 3 and any adaptation in general: If it isn't obvious by now, the boys in tinsel town hold NOTHING sacred - it's all politics. That's why Bronson is no longer James Bond, Triple H will regain the title at Wrestlemania, Cyclops WILL DIE in X3, Lois Lane is having a frikkin baby, and MJ will probably kick the bucket in Spidey 3 (if Stacy is going to be in the sequels, why would you need MJ - ESPECIALLY IF DUNST REFUSES TO DO THE OTHER SEQUELS???). I'm not writing the d@mn movie, but what you clowns have to realize is that Hollywood DOESN'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK. Spidey also needs a hook to turn bad, he's not gonna just outright become dark .... okay fanboys, gimme a REALLY good reason why Spidey would just all of a sudden turn bad and KEEP the symbiote for a good while?? Yea... you CAN'T come up with something as dramatic and controversial as the death of MJ. She's what's grounding him, the relationship with Aunt May wasn't developed well enough for her death to be the impedus for the plot twist. So thinking LOGICALLY AND POLITICALLY, MJs death is pretty much a given. If MJ decides to just LEAVE Parker, why would Parker even LOOK at Gwen - he'd still be caught up on her... and with no MJ coming back in the sequels, that would ultimately leave a bad taste in the audience's mouth (remember most people AREN'T comic book fans). And why even introduce Betty?? 3 women and Parker in the middle while fending off baddies is a 2 and a half hour disaster in the making...but oh, I suppose one of you bottom feeders is writing the script, so knock em dead tiger ;) I'm not just a comic book fan, but a fan of entertainment in general. And this is what I see everyday and i

Banks Talks Romance & Black Suit for Spidey 3 - Mar 28, 2006 - 10:02pm
I swear, you guys love seeing your postings on the internet - what losers. I honestly don't think Raimi will mess this up. What will PROBABLY go down is this... MJ dies, that's why Dunst spilled the details on Venom, she burned a bridge and she doesn't care. This will probably be the reason why Spiderman goes over to the darkside - he lost something he held dear, so now he doesn't care for jack - a la Darth Vader (I'm not even a SW fan, lol). Stacy will eventually fill the role MJ left vacant and Betty will be introduced, but may not have a major role in this film...they'll leave it for future films (unless MJ dies in the first 30 minutes of the film!!) And the symbiote story is TOO long to condense into a single movie. Eddie Brock will be the new antagonist for the next few movies (3, 4 and MAYBE 5). He won't become Venom until AFTER this movie, in the meantime Parker finishes his feud with Osborne. Stacy will probably be tied to Brock and that tied with his loss of other things, gigs at the Daily Bugle etc, he'll go crazy, and become Venom ... maybe at the end of this movie as a cliffhanger to wet your appettite for the next series of films (wouldn't it be nice to have a cliffhanger?). If the movie shakes out like this, I don't see how it can be THAT bad of a film, do you?
