Fox blows. Just another way to keep the rights. Sigh...

Well, hopefully this will be a reboot and not continue in the same continuity like the mess of X-men movies.

A recast would be perfect as the previous movie was sub-par. Garner was no Elektra. Affleck was so-so but said it before that he would never do this again. And Kingpin. Well, last I checked, he was a white dude. Sorry, I'm not racist and I could live with Heimdall being black. He was never a major character in comics and the Norse Gods in the comics are more like cosmic beings. But, Kingpin. Wilson Fisk. He's whiter than white. I know I'm usually against wreslters acting in movies but I think there is one of them that could probably pull it off and has acted a bit. Paul "Big Show" Wight. He does have good charisma. And he's huge too!

I also LOVED the first one, especially the directors cut. If you want to see Matt at work in the courtroom, watch the Directors cut. I liked the theatrical version, but absolutely LOVE the directors cut. Check it out if you haven't

Hoping this IS a contiuation of the first. I don't think it needs to be re-booted, and I also really like Duncan as Kingpin. Kingpin doesn't need to be white. His character doesn't depend on his ethnicity at all, and wasn't changed a bit for the movie.

"I wan't a costume" one of my favorite lines of the movie

How big a freakin' timeframe does Fox have on Daredevil?  It's been eight years since their DD movie!  That should have been more than enough for the license to have already expired.  The Hulk license expired after only a couple of years.

As for Slade, Hard Candy was amazingly harsh.  30 Days of Night was good, but not great.  A bit of advice- skip the big origin story.  That's what the opening credits are for.  The Incredible Hulk handled that perfectly.

I liked the original DD, but it wasn't that great.  The Director's Cut was much better.  Like most everyone else, I thought the park fight was stupid.  While it is certainly true that there is a long standing tradition of costumed heroes who become lovers engaging in combat first, the rule doesn't apply in this case.  Matt and Elektra were not in costume leaping rooftops.  People flirting on the street do not suddenly start sparing, no matter what their night job is.

What was sad about the first DD was that the Directors Cut really only included the Coolio story line. DD could use a good reboot but I have a feeling that its going to get rushed and suck, again.

People love to bag on Affleck, but I don't see the justification.  Ben did the best he could with what he had to work with.  Besides, the fact of the matter is that the original Daredevil was a huge box office success.

I also really liked the first one!!  I did'nt even mind Aflack.  What I would have liked to see was a more smart ass Daredevil.  It's been a long time since I read comics, but I remember Daredevil being mor of a smart ass with the bad guys, kind of in the mold of Spidey.  Am I remembering wrong?  Anyway, really like Super hero movies, and I am sure I will love this one too.

Second franchise that featured Affleck that will be rebooted.

I can honestly say I didn't enjoy the first DD.  From the leather fetish, to the bad acting, to the roll your eye was just hard to take in.  I really hated the scenes of him as a child and the casting decisions.  The choice of Electra was terrible.

I thought it was 7 years but from I've been gathering through other sources (Variety) is that as long as Fox says they are "in production" the rights remain. No one knows the timeframe. I think "in-production" means the lamest thing like, hiring a scriptwriter to write a draft or a storyboard artist for concept art or crap like that. This is a loophole the studios can abuse. For all I know, they probably had a janitor on the Fox lot listed as production designer on an empty movie set reserved for DD.

As for this reboot, bad idea. DD is a 2nd tier Marvel hero who got a boost from big name actors otherwise would have been an epic fail at the box office. Rebooting this movie with lesser known actors will be its downfall. DD is more small screen material. I would rather see this as a courtroom/crimefighter show with great DD storylines told in full seasons instead of crammed into a 2 hour mess.

Wow this will be a low budget movie for sure.  Deserves better.  I also like the First one.  I even enjoyed the re-edit one also.

Is it too much too ask for Matt to be a redhead (at least, dye it) and Electra (if used) be Greek?
