So is the jock in this scene suppose too be Flash Thompson? He doesn't even look like the character in the comics. They needed more of a football hero, and someone very muscular too be him. This guy looks like a very skinny Harry Osborne.

Obviously when he was calling him Flash lol

Caveman, my understanding is that they have a set number of years to produce a film. Going by the last Spidey I assume with Sony and Spidey that number is between 5 and 6 years. It makes sense that the mother company would not want those characters laying dormant for too long which would equal wasted potential profits

Marvel has been vague about their licenses but it seems that this is the case with all their licensed properties but with perhaps differing amount of time allotted for different ones. Which seems to be the case since it's already been 7 years since something from the Daredevil family (Elektra). But Fox supposedly has a DD film in the planning stages so that may account for the time allotted also. Remember the rushed FF film that never went anywhere, that was produced solely to keep the rights at the time

On top of that they have to pay license fee every so often. But they have never said there's a limit on films or time or if it's in perpetuity as long as they keep the films coming

All this leads me to believe that Sony will soon relinquish the Ghost Rider rights just like Lionsgate did with Punisher. But I wouldn't hold my breath on Spidey's rights, that's a money machine.

Man I'm long winded

This is just a redo of what happened in the comics back in the 1960s. Flash picked on Parker and the principal told the two they should have a boxing match in the school gym to settle their issues.

Since that isn't PC in today's world, they have to do this instead.

Thanks, I know...(come on, finish this out!

Who wins Spiderman or TDKR?

SarcasticCaveman 6/16/2012 9:53:29 AM

TheRiffs - I think TDKR will be a better movie, but I predict that Spiderman will win over it.  Nolan has a real solid fan base, myself included, but plenty of other people can't stand his gritty, more realistic portrayal of Batman.  Since TDKR doesn't have the novelty of being the first of a new series or the media hype of a dead star, it's really just kind of going to be there in the'll be a movie people flip a coin to go see.
