Slater is ALONE IN THE DARK

Christian Slater has been cast as paranormal investigator Edward Carnby in ALONE IN THE DARK, the $30 million dollar film adaptation of the Infogrames horror video game. Filming begins in Vancouver on July 14.

"We are very happy to have Christian Slater on board. He is perfect as Edward Carnby", commented the film's director and producer, Uwe Boll.

Carnby was the primary character in the ALONE IN THE DARK video game series, an explorer of haunted houses who faced many ghouls and beasties. The ALONE IN THE DARK movie is expected in theaters sometime in 2004 along with a new video game.
