Here's my thoughts on this arguement , 1 anyone who is a fan of Superman (comics) is very familiar with one thing and one main thing and thats bad writing , so when a tv series comes along and changes the mythology right off the bat, then im not sure what you are upset about, everything Superman, has been plagued by the samething that has plagued every single movie, what do you do with a character like Superman, the Big Blue Boyscout . So I ask this again, if you hate the show fine, but please someone show me one series that has been around for 10 years that hasnt fallen, mis stepped or down right sucked. Im sorry I cant hear you? !!!! cause every series Ive ever watched has done it. What people forget is that at no point in time did they say this is following the comics lore EVER, so to be pissed at that is IDK dumb, Bad writing is Bad writing and there is major faults with this episode ABSOLUTELY, there was something missing with the BLUE K. OK YOUR RIGHT!!!, but I still think you miss the object of the episode, which I maintain is LIL LEX and Tess and the fact that these crappy writers started some thing two years ago that is paying off at the end of the series. thats just one of the instances that the writing has been better then one thought. I think for most parts the writing has been good and at other times it has fallen , but at the same time they never had to jump the shark , like so many other series out there and more importantly that have been repectful of the characters and have taken the show to many cool place then i could have hoped for, JSA, Checkmate, Suicide Squad, Doomsday, JL, and now Darkseid. Who ten seasons ago would have dreamed that they would bring you all this with out a whole lot of CHEESE. OH yeah and really do I need to be reminded every episode that Darkseid is out there , no its called suspense, foreboding, we want to build up to something, and I think they learned with Doomsday, After 10 seasons of this , both ups and downs we have stayed here not because we like to pick the episodes apart but because we love something about the show , or maybe so we can see Clark put on the Cape and fly across The Daily Planet and some one say
LOOK UP IN THE SKY !!!!!!, IT'S A BIRD !!!!! , ITS A PLANE !!! NO !!!! ITS SUPERMAN !!!!!!!!!!!!

Rodek, why in the world would you think just because he puts on the suit that's the end of the show? That's very narrow-minded. You could have still called the show Smallville 4 years ago, and he could have already founded the JLA by now if that's the direction they wanted.
Clearly there's enough people frustrated by the suit teases, they could have done it. I'm not even saying they should have, but they easily could have. Shows evolve from the original premise all the time. No shame in that.
If you want to keep it pre-Superman because that's what the show how the show was coinceived, why are you buying there's a huge city called Metropolis in Kansas when clearly Metropolis is supposed to be on the northern eastern seaboard.
The character Superman has evolved since 1939, the show could too if it wanted. Don't get hung up on the original premise.
Bryzarro, again, even if Clark didn't shoot anyone, it's sloppy direction to film it in a way that we're having this conversation. Again, I only saw on tv once and online a couple times, but I can't see for certain one way or another, and that to me is just as bad as if he did kill someone, because it's just crappy storytelling. Don't film from an angle that confuses the majority of your audience.
