Gniwhcs! A heroine steps out of the pages of DC Comics and into this week's 'Smallville' with the March 26th episode "Hex". No, it isn't any scabby-faced cowboy. Just the opposite, it's magic-talking Zatanna (fishnets and all) who pulls a switcheroo on Lois and Chloe. The CW has given Mania.com a set of photos from the episode. But first, here's the official description:
IT’S FREAKY FRIDAY FOR CHLOE AND LOIS WHEN DC CHARACTER ZATANNA APPEARS — At Chloe’s (Allison Mack) birthday party, a mysterious magician named Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) grants Chloe’s wish to be more like Lois (Erica Durance) and switches the two into each other’s bodies. Zatanna searches for her father’s book of spells so she can conjure up his spirit but not before also granting Clark (Tom Welling) his deepest wish. Aaron Ashmore and Justin Hartley also star. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller.

Amen athenieus, I agree with everything you said above. My personal problem with Smallville is how the hell is Clark going to become Superman when everyone has seen his face? Wear a mask? That is probably the biggest reason I keep watching this crap, to see how they get out of the corner they painted themselves in.

Actually, when I read this preview- having just read Turbulence- I suspected what Clarks wish might be.
My theory is that he is going to tell Tess that he has a fear of heights and she ultimately is going to be the one to get them out of the jam. The experience will make him realize that he is not living up to his potential, handcuffed by this phobia. His wish to Zatanna will be to cure his fear of heights!
From then on, it will be UP, UP and AWAY!
Or so it would be if I could take over the show for a few eps.
Are they serious with this plot? Why don't they instead have Clark bump his head and get amnesia and as he starts to get his memory back they show clips from previous shows to illustrate it. Or Better yet they could have Clark and his worst enemy get trapped in some random place and the only way out is to put there differences aside and work together. Yeah all original ideas and not hackneyed at all! I spit on this show! *Patooie*
Just saw a pretty good little preview video from Entertainment Weekly for some upcoming episodes of Smallville. If you don't like spoilers you probably don't want to watch it.
