Another DCU Character Arrives

By Rob M. Worley     October 20, 2009

Another DCU character arrives on Season 9 of 'Smallville' as a villain sets up her fight club in "Roulette". The CW has rolled out a webclip featuring a slug-out between Erica Durance and Steph Song. But first, here's the description of the episode from The CW:

DC COMICS’ CHARACTER ROULETTE SHOWS OLIVER HER CARDS — Oliver (Justin Hartley) is drugged and kidnapped by a woman named Victoria AKA Roulette (guest star Steph Song), who tells Oliver that he’s involved in a dangerous game and must fight for his life.  After Victoria shows up dead and Oliver is arrested by the police, he turns to Chloe (Allison Mack) for help.  Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) berates Clark (Tom Welling) for not telling her about Oliver’s suicide attempt.  Cassidy Freeman and Callum Blue also star.  Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Genevieve Sparling.

Tune in October 23rd at 8pm for the "Roulette" episode of 'Smallville'.

SO... Roulette appears... and then dies.  WOW, this show just ROCKS the DCU characters.  I mean, Aquaman is a retarded surfer, Flash is an obnoxious Kid Flash named Impulse who has more attitude than half the cast of One Tree Hill, Lex Luthor is dead, Doomsday got buried and can't figure out how to dig himself out, Tess Mercer has already proven herself WAY too smart to ever resume the role of "Mercy" for Lex (if, ya know, Lex wasn't dead), this week showed that Metallo is a moron with a back story full of plot holes so big you could drive the truck that ran over John Corben through them... and now Roulette will appear... and die.

This show is fabulous.  Really.

Oh, and Clark still can't fly, doesn't disguise himself at all (other than a bad impression of Neo from Matrix), and still whines more than a 5-year old in Toys R Us.

My enthusiasm for this episode lasted about 45 seconds. 80% of the Smallville originated characters get locked up or hang around for years, and Roulette can't make it past the 30 minute mark? Come on!

Can't these studios find people who actually LIKE comic books to write these shows?

You could probably condense the season down to maybe four good hours and throw away the other BS!

Sorry Wise...

I thought people were so Sick of Lex Luthor anyway? LOL he's not dead he's just not around. It's better and im enjoying this season 9. Really people hardly understand this show. They want Superman but he's not even close to being Superman yet. Relax ! Hence the training he's going through now via the fortress.

Whats wrong with Flash being a wise ass? He is a wise ass go pick up a comic ! Plus it's the young version of everyone. LOL my god MY god.

Wake up white people !

Bag was awesome as Metallo and all the signs point that he shall return. He did awesome in the role.

Sorry but it's the best show on TV as of right now. Thats the truth. !

O by the way.

Doomsday buried goes along more with the comics - he evolves and is just in hibernation bascially. Until he's released/ dug out.  By then Superman is full fledged and the brawl can begin. LOL Jeezus no wonder nobody understands the show.

I think if they took out the high school drama type stuff in the show and treated it better and did what CAPT said and get some better writers it might be the great show it could be. Something needs to change. I DVR this crap-tastic show and still havn't gotten around to watching it. Lois needs to grow up, Clark needs to grow some, hell put Oliver as the center character, they seem to be giving him the better stuff right now anyways.

Everyone said Toyman was awesome, but he was on the screem for like what 5 minutes. Have Zod release some superpowered villians, Bane style, to go after Clark each episode to tire him out and have it turn out to be Jor-el who set the whole thing up as training for Clark. And maybe just maybe get some good special effects of Clark actually fighting and not just catching something heavy (sorry i dont consider the Doomsday thing a fight)

And, yeah what was up with Aquaman?

And SgtTech I have to disagree and say Supernatural is much better then the current Smallville eps. Even the one with Paris Hilton, because in the end - Sam did what we all wish we could do....

It was a good episode. And Roulette dying was a hoax. She's in the whole episode.
