If there is one thing I've noticed about Smallville, continuity isn't something they worry about to much. Not that its a bad thing. I've been watching the show since it started. I like the the new ways they bring in characters and put a new twist on the mythology. Speedy as a girl.... why not?
You know, I'm not too keen on the Green Arrow-ville shows. Maybe because at least they allow him to running around with his code name and actually dresses like his comic book counterpart, unlike Clark Kent/Blur.
Timesobserver, Does that mean you like the Green Arrow episodes or you don't like them? You say you're not too keen on them, but your next sentence seems to say that you like them better because at least Green Arrow gets to use his codename and outfit.
That's right, Redhairs99. I like the Green Arrow episodes a lot because on some level, the show is more true to him than they are with Clark at this point. And that's a shame that the second fiddle is upstaging the star of the show, in my opinion.
However, I think Green Arrow has too many epsiodes that are focused on him and they've been running nearly back to back. And that's why I've been calling the show lately, "Green Arrow-Ville."

I am unaware of a female Speedy. My DC continuity is a mess.
