DC Comics in September is releasing SMALLVILLE: THE COMIC, based on the WB show which, of course, is based on DC's Superman character.

The 64-page one-shot will feature stories written by Mark Verheiden and Michael Green, who both work on the TV show.

Roy Allan Martinez and John Paul Leon provide art.

The comic will also take a look at the television series, with interviews and photos.

In related news, former SUPERMAN comics writer Jeph Loeb has been added to the SMALLVILLE TV staff as a consulting producer. He will be writing episodes for the second season.
