SMALLVILLE Comic-book series set

A comic book based on a TV show based on a comic book.

That's what DC Comics is doing with SMALLVILLE, an ongoing, bi-monthly comic book set to begin in March.

The ongoing series follows a one-shot that was released by DC Comics last month.

Editor Tom Palmer said that the lead story of SMALLVILLE #1 will be written by Mark Verheiden and Clint Carpenter, with Kilian Plunkett on art. It will focus on Pete and Clark on a camping trip after Pete learns of Clark's super-powers.

Like the one-shot, the ongoing series will include features on the TV show. SMALLVILLE #1 will have a set visit, an interview with SMALLVILLE star Tom Welling and an episode guide for the first season.
