The Kryptonsite website reports that the producers of SMALLVILLE have sent out a casting call for the part of Lois Lane. According to the site, the actress that will eventually be hired to play the early-20s Lois will appear in four episodes early next season. Described as being "caucasian, smart, beautiful, urban, headstrong, and no-nonsense", Lois will visit Smallville to find out what happened to her cousin, Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack). She is also described as being tough as nails due to her upbringing by her U.S. Army father.
Also being added to the show is another new character named Jason Teague, a football playing student at Metropolis University from a rich upbringing. Teague will become a regular on the show when it begins its fourth season.
