Only a day after INDEPENDENCE DAY co-creator and writer Dean Devlin gave CINESCAPE some of the most complete quotes on the ID4 sequel he's given, the biggest cast member of the original seems to be begging off the film.
Will Smith, who played the hot dog jet fighter in the 1996 alien invasion smash, said when asked about his participation in the sequel, "Zero Chance of an INDEPENDENCE DAY sequel"
Well... there still a lot of the original cast which could return, assuming that's what the story calls for. We'll let you know.
