Looks fun. I didn't catch the first and probably won't this one either. Just never a true Smurf fan as a kid

I liked the Smurfs as a kid but these movies look horrible.

KungPow 12/19/2012 8:38:07 AM

Looks heinous to me.

I thought the first one was going to be horrible as well. But aside from my kids loving it, it was actually pretty well done. Had enough adult humor to keep the pacing up. And NPH never disappoints in pretty much anything he's in. Will definitely give this one a shot.

I took my kids to the first one, and it really wasn't that bad.  Mainly a kids movie, but some adult humor there as well to keep the big kids entertained to.  Plus Neil Patrick Harris is great in just about anything he does

Kungpow- I agree. Something about an old creepy man turning a lil girl smurfette into being "naughty" seemed a lil wrong to me too..... mmm hmm.....

Bryzarro 12/19/2012 9:57:57 AM

Yeah The NPH is the man in everything.  Took my son to see this and we both left happy.  Great cartoon that even I can't stand to watch now.  But the movie was really enjoyable.

This looks as enjoyable as the first but i'll be there anyways.

Long time Smurfs fan. Have all the books from my childhood except they are called Les Schtroumpfs.  I was dreading going to see the movie based on the previews 2 years ago. I didn't like much of the whole lost in New York and Gutsy Smurf crap but it wasn't all that terrible. The kids loved it so will probably end up seeing it.

I would prefer a setting set in medieval times like the cartoon instead of the lost in the "real world" idea.
