I agree with some on here in that if they're going to reboot this Superman franchise then go all the way.  That would include having a new score because as stated earlier, relying on the original Williams score, as brilliantly beautiful and unforgettable as it was and always will be, hearing that will only bring people back to the original movies.  That wouldn't be a good thing when they're trying to reestablish this franchise.

I still thing that the original score was perfect, but if a complete shake up is what everyone wants, I'm ok with it, (like anyone cares if I'm ok with it or not but a new score should have a completely different tone.  How about Danny Elfman?

Tim Burton's Batman is an origin movie, they just didn't delve too deeply into it.  Batman arrives on the scene in Gotham quite suddenly, nobody knows who he is and they explain it all in flashbacks later in the film.  His parents are killed by a young goon who ends up becoming the Joker.  The next 3 films were a continuation of that universe until the reboot in 2005.

I'm not trying to start an argument with anyone, I just think an origin with this reboot would be the right thing to do and I have a feeling that it's the direction Zack will go.  I know I would want to tell my own origin story if I had the chance to start a new Superman franchise.

All I'm saying is I would rather be open to any and all possibilites in the hopes of getting a good superman movie, rather than become pessimistic if the story doesn't go in the direction I want it to.  Origin stories have usually been the best part of any franchise.

After the score he did for Star Trek (2009) with very brief nods to Alexander Courage,Michael Giacchino would be my pick for composer. An alternate would be Howard Shore.

Zathras that is a great choice (Michael Giacchino).

Snyder is a genius. He gets superheroes, he loves them, and he makes great movies.

You will believe a movie can fly!

agreed, Violator. This film should prove to be most entertaining, regardless of the story line. Also, Viggo as Zod...oh my...I am really hoping to see some of the same intensity that Mortensen brought to the late scenes of A History of Violence. General Zod was always one of my fav's. This film should be a very fun and exciting ride!!!

I agree with qualeyboy420 - Zack KNOWS what his doing!!!!

Then the question beckons will he maintain the franchise and stick with making 2 to 3 more films. The answer is most likely no!!! ergo, concordantly, vis a vis a new reboot sometime later on!

I think visually Snyder can make an origin, quick, suspenseful and, pleasing.
