Sobini Films has acquired the film rights to Graham Joyce's horror novel DARK SISTER. The book told the story of a woman who finds what she belives to be a herbalist's journal while cleaning her house's chimney. She soon realizes that the book of arcane remedies is the work of a witch, and that a dark force seems intent on destroying her and her family.
Lawrence O'Neil (BREAST MEN) is attached to adapt the book as well as direct the film. Mark Amin and Robin Schorr will produce the project, which is hoping to ramp up production in early 2002.
Sobini Films is also the company behind the previously announced JOHNNY FRANKENSTEIN, a modern day retelling of Mary Shelley's classic novel.
