I still have one question about the 1st one.

What is the Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for "Backwater Planet"?

The Egyptian heiroglypics for "Backwater Planet" are squiggly line, squiggly line, bird's head, snake, snake, curved rod.

Thank God Weaver has a modicum of restraint. AvP is pure crap. Not much else to say. A product of the collective waste of most action adventure sc-fi picks.

I just wish they could bring back Hudson from Aliens. Seriously though, they should have stuck to the story from the Aliens vs Predator comic that Dark Horse published like 10 years ago. That was an excellent story with compelling characters on all sides and awesome visual potential. It would not even have needed any name actors to drive the budget up. Maybe a trip to Ripleyworld in the next movie can have an Aliens: Earth War feel and still incorporate the Predators. I'll probably watch anything from these two frachises and I hope it is good. I just reserve the right to bitch about how they could've been done better.

Well if they want don’t want to bring back the AvP cast and they want Ripley, then there's hope that the movie might be better than the garbage Paul Anderson created. But even then, AvP left me so disappointed that I really don’t care anymore which is sad because I really was a huge fan of Predator and Alien. I mean how many more times can we give these stupid studios a break? There are so many more fun things to do with our time now then waste $10+ to see a lame film…

What do you mean THEY cut the power? How could they cut the power, man? They're animals!

I'll have to do some research to see where I read this but, Ridley Scott was asked about doing another Alien film and he said he would have been interested if AvP had never been made. He said that he felt it cheapened the franchise. Damn you AvP!!

#6-[chuckles]
#7-P.A. is pathetic at his craft and deserves no pity and the same for the studios with all of their phony reasons for greenlighting the project . There ain't shit to him and I suspected this and AVP only served to confirm it so.

AvP had so much potential. However, like most things in creative bankrupt Hollywood, they hire writers who know nothing about the content to slap together a script that the far-removed writer feels America will enjoy. Once you kill the franchise with the first movie, give up on any sequels.

There were a couple of moments in AvP that i enjoyed; sadly, enough to get me to drop another $7.50 (in my little corner of this good earth) hoping for a better film the next time around. I haven't enjoyed the aliens on screen since, well...Aliens.
