Lions Gate Films has picked up distribution rights for DARK RIDE, a new thriller from director Craig Singer. SOPRANOS co-star Jamie-Lynn DiScala (the actress that plays Meadow on the hit HBO show) stars in the picture.
The Hollywood Reporter states that the title DARK RIDE comes from the theme park ride at the center of the chilling story. Ten years ago a demented killer murdered two young girls who went on the ride. He was captured and deemed criminally insane and sent off to a mental institution, but now he's escaped and is coming back to his old stomping grounds in search of more victims. Enter a group of carefree college students who are taking a trip to go on the Dark Ride. Hey, it sounds like FRIDAY THE 13th at Disneyland!
The movie's screenplay was written by Singer and Robert Dean Klein.
