VARIETY reports that Rob Minkoff, director of THE LION KING and the STUART LITTLE films, will lead a remake of THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE, the animated short that appears in FANTASIA featuring Mickey Mouse as, well, a sorcerer's apprentice.

The remake will adopt a mixed live-action and CGI technique, similar to the STUART LITTLE films.
