SOUTH PARK set till '08

Comedy Central has signed a deal for the Emmy nominated SOUTH PARK to stay on the air through 2008.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone will continue to produce, direct, & write three more seasons (42 episodes) of the series.

Comedy Central's Doug Herzog described the duo as "creative geniuses and a huge part of the Comedy Central family."

South Park is still brilliantly funny. It humor is usually topical(parodies of very recent current event), absurd, and also exaggerated in order to point out the silliness people have about themselves.
Now, with syndication coming into play I think you'll find it's popularity will resurge. I for one can't wait til October when the new season starts.
