SOYLENT GREEN Collaborator Passes Away

Hollywood writer Stanley R Greenberg, who collaborated with Harry Harrison on the script for the classic SF film SOYLENT GREEN, passed away in Kensington, California on August 25th of a brain tumor. The film was an adaptation of Harry Harrison's novel MAKE ROOM, MAKE ROOM. The writers' collaborative work garnered praise for achieving a new level of quality in adapting novels to the screen. The project also earned a 1978 Nebula for Best Dramatic Presentation. The writer was 74.
