Now, I really do hate Paris Hilton, but it's because I find her annoying and I have the patience of a goldfish. I do REALLY like this point, though, because I'm pretty sure you're the only one making it. I hate the lack of moderation concerning celebrities these days. I hate the lack of moderation period, really. Everyone has this psychotic, out-there opinion on EVERYTHING - no one's just like, well, there's pros and cons, let's think about this like logical human beings. What happened to the age of reason? As a journalist training to keep being a journalist, it really galls me that even publications that once had some of the highest standards of credibility anywhere -- the Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN, and there was even a time when Fox was actually fair and balanced -- are selling their souls to the tabloid press in order to sell papers, rather than really report the facts as they happened. *thwacks media with idealistic-college-student stick* ...also, my roommate is nesting in her blankets. Like, pulling them up around her and diving into their midst, and not coming out. Wtf, Hillary. This random note brought to you by my sixth can of Diet Dr. Pepper for the evening.

Oh, God, I have no desire to transfer. This place is the best school I could afford. And I don't want a lot of friends or anything. I want one. I think I'm just orientation-awkward. I always made friends in class in high school anyway. I'm not the kind of person to come up to someone in the street and be like, HI I'M CHARLOTTE HOW ARE YOU?? It's hard making friends as a shy bitch. But I shall prevail! If nothing else, I have friends coming to the school in the fall. I can hold out until then if all else fails. I just wanted to complain, because I am so very good at it.
