I don't care if the story makes sense this is the best damn animation on the planet, hands down.  It's light years ahead of anything else out there.  If only Marvel and DC could embrace this style of computer animation instead of cranking out stiff, poorly rendered cartoons that don't even measure up to the old Warner Bros. Looney Tunes.

Heard Filoni talk about them being bonus content on Blu-rays!

I hope we get at least a season six, this series deserves an end, please Disney dont mess with the fans, finish this great series we deserve that at least.

.....something just occurred to me, and I hope I'm just being paranoid.  Paramount chooses JJ Abrams to direct new Star Trek movies.  Part of Abrams' contract states that there can be no new Star Trek on television until after his first 2 Star Trek movies.  JJ Abrams is chosen by Disney to direct the Episode VII that none of us thought would ever happen, and Disney just CANCELS The Clone Wars with another season already in production?!...Please tell me that Disney and Lucasfilm didn't cave to any of his crap.  He's a fine director, but I could honestly live with any capable director who respects story structure.

Sifo? I don't think so.... the blade is blue....

I believe that the CW were canceled, so that they can stop making things during this time period. They put a stop to Star Detours. I think they are going to break all kinds of new ground with time periods that couldn't touch before. Kids have bought all the clone wars toys they can. So... Start somewhere eles, new stories, new toys, new video games... more money, more money, more money...

Interesting theory, kinetoscope...but when it comes to merchandising, there is NEVER enough toys for kids to buy, and to boil it all down to merchandising cheapens the GREAT stories that were being told, IMO.  I would be right there with you if the show sucked, but the show was pretty terrific, and I wish, like others here, that we would at least get more closure - they were JUST starting to tie things to Revenge of the Sith in some pretty great ways.

I agree with kineto.  Disney didn't buy LA so it could tell 'Amazing stories'.  They bought them so they could make some money.  Lets just hope whoever makes the decisions decides that going an extra mile to tell an amazing story makes monetary sense.

SarcasticCaveman 5/6/2013 7:59:07 AM

Well yeah, it all boils down to money, but I assume that merchandising rights came with the purchase...so how much sense does it make to cancel a profitable show that is producing profitable toys?  They could be making new toys for the movies AND for the Clone Wars.
