Scribe Steve Niles has been talking about what's up with the slowly developing SPAWN 2 for Columbia. Niles, who is collaborating with Todd McFarlane on the script spoke to the Comics Continuum giving the latest word on the project, saying, "I've done an initial pass on the script. Todd has it now. When he gets back from vacation, we'll get together and compare notes.
"Bottom line is the script is coming along nicely and I think the fans will be pleasantly surprised."
Niles also confirms that the second film will be different in tone from the first, saying, "It's very dark. Not at all a superhero movie, but with plenty of creepy action and suspense."
