SPECIES: The TV Series?
By: Frank KurtzDate: Monday, August 06, 2001
Natasha Henstridge has been busy promoting the upcoming GHOSTS OF MARS at its press junket this week. CINESCAPE's Anthony C. Ferrante was there and asked the actress what the chances are of a third SPECIES film, which led to a surprising mention of a possible TV series based on the films.
Will she be a part of it? THat question is answered in their exchange as follows:
CINESCAPE: Have they contacted you about a SPECIES 3?
Natasha Henstridge: No, they certainly haven't. I don't think SPECIES 2 was really the talk of the town. I think they are thinking about doing a TV show, a series. I'm pretty sure.
C: With you in it?
NH: They asked me. (laughs) No comment.
C: Would you consider doing any kind of TV series?
NH: Yeah, I sure would. I think TV has gotten so good. I really do. I see shows now, and, my god. Unfortunately, I don't get a lot of time to watch TV. I'd like to watch more. I am actually not one of those people ... not like 'Oh I don't want a TV in my house' and all that. I would love to watch a little TV at my bedtime. I think there are some great, great shows out there, And I would love to be a part of some of them absolutely. If the right thing came along. You never quite know what that is though you never know if it's going to be great or not. But, yeah, I would."
