According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'Spider-Man 3' did the expected phenomenal numbers during its home video debut, topping both the sales and rental charts.
The film bested 'Transformers' on most charts, pushing that one to number 2.
Even the expensive Spidey trilogy boxed sets performed well, debuting at #5.
'Spider-Man 3' also topped the Blu-ray sales charts. The only place the webbed wonder failed to defeat the autobots was on the HD-DVD charts, and that's because the movie didn't release in that format.
