I hope they change their mind about Lizard.  I don't get why they don't use him?  The Doc has been all the movies and for once they can focus on story with Spidey helping somebody besides himself.  Not everything has to revolve around Peter and his miserable life.  Been there and done that.

Wiseguy 11/10/2009 7:01:51 AM

He wasn't in the first, though he was mentioned

Blasphemy to comic book fans, but get ready for a bunch of comments from critics, etc, about how Black Cat is a Catwoman knock-off. Which... er.... she kinda is.

One reason I am not so enthused about Black Cat is I am tired of the MJ storylines, and frankly think the character has been ill served by the movies. In the last, she was basically reduced to being Lois Lane from Superman 2... "I am jealous of the whole world".  Introducing Black Cat sets us up for ANOTHER movie in which a jealous MJ is a major plot point. UGH.

I am surprised that the Lizard isn't in the mix in this movie. The presence of Connors in the movies seems to make it a no-brainer.

Rachel McAdams for Black-Cat? Ugh. Talk about totally not looking the part. Sometimes I wonder if Raimi even reads the comics to look for a basis for the parts he's casting for. McAdams is WAAAAAY too skinny; no boobs or butt to speak of whatsoever. And, not that this is the only criteria for casting the part...but it is a MAJOR part of how readers/viewers identify Blact-Cat and her persona. She's supposed to be a sultry, voluptuous sex-pot...someone literally oozing curves from the frontal opening of her suit.  Eliza Dushku or Elisa Cuthbert would be MUCH better choices for the role. Don't know if Cuthbert has the acting chops, but she definitely has "the look". Please, Raimi...don't f**k this up. I've been waiting to see Black-Cat in the films ever since the first one...and Rachel McAdams is NOT my (or many others') idea of what Black-Cat should look like.

Actually, McAdams I think can do the part well, and she CAN look the part, at least as well as Pfieffer did for hers, and I never would have thought she would work with it! Problem is, Black Cat IS too Catwoman like, and I don't see how fans won't draw parallels to Batman 2.

As much as I loved McFarlane's lizard and Kraven, there are nearly 50 years worth of stories involving Webhead, and I say give it a chance. Someday soon maybe, but he does have other good stories out there.

Just be glad we aren't dealing with clones...yet.

Batman Returns Batman Returns

Raimi is ripping off Batman Returns

How sad and uncreative

Raimi is no loner innovative

Which is worse a nipple suit or a ribbed condom suit?

It soesnt matter cause Spiderpig is a Fruit who likes filling his poop shoot.

Lookout Spider Pig 4 is a remake of Batman Returns.

Max Schrek will create Spiderpig slayers and Aunt May will be the Ice Princess or whoever Penguin or Vulture pushes off the Bugle roof..

PS Elisha Cuthbert hasnt had acting chops since Sean Avery was inside her.

Yeah, there is absolutely no draw there for me.  I don't care about Black Cat, I don't care to see Peter and Mary Jane's almost romance go back and forth yet again, that's old.  I'd much rather see Kraven/The Lizard (subbing foThe Vermin) doing Kraven's Last Hunt.  Electro or even the Vulture would have grabbed me more than Black Cat.  That's not a reason to do a 4th movie to me. I'm not interested, but will still go see it.
