I touched upon it a couple of pages back FerretJohn.  I agree.  Conan has to be a stacked monster.  Who could that be?  I want to hear who there mystery man is.  They did not give up his name so that is a good sign that he is most likely the one and is in serious talks.  Who is it?  I want to know.  He had better be huge and intimiadting.  Man, I just wish Gerard Butler was as big as Arnold was back in the first Conan movie!  Then we would have no issues at all what so ever.

I'm pretty sure in the books I've read Conan wasn't necessarily this huge Arnoldesque behemoth.  Let me go find a description:  Yeah, 6' 2", 210 pounds.  That's big but not Arnold big.  I Googled somebody random that had the same diameters and this is what 6' 2", 210 pounds looks like:

I just found this out on WIki, that Conan's size was actually based on Howard's actual size but not his looks, of course.

I looked it up and a the height of his weight lifting career Arnold Schwarzenegger was 240 pounds sitting at 6'2". So in reality Arnold Schwarzenegger is only 30 pounds bigger than the official description of Conan.

Even though the movie creators are basing the new Conan movie more off of the books I still think that Conan needs to be a little bigger than what is in the books.  Every modern(newer) movie, poster, book cover, and comic that shows Conan depicts a larger man.  People are used to this and will judge who ever is acting as Conan agaist this.  Besides, you know that Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be the defato physical measure of who Conan is to the public.

Fuck it, let's get Jay Cutler to play Conan. I met him and he's very charismatic. Arnie, who I love, wasn't a great actor by any means maybe Jay can handle it and his charm can shine through the role. Jay is probably close to 300 off-season though

I don't know Whiseguy.  That man is just too huge.  I mean, Conan is supposed to be really big.  But he is built like a large warrior, not a weight lifter.  That guy looks to be larger than even Arnold was back in the day.  At least to me is does.

I still want to know who there secret mystery man is.  The one they did not want to talk about yet were excited to mention.  Jerks, teasing us like that.

When are we gonna hear about the casting on Cap!? I still feel like Pitt would be perfect for the role maybe they can use the same technology used to make him younger in Benjamin Button?!

What Johnston said really worries me! But I'll hang in there till I hear more about it.

Brad Pitt is too old. Jensen Ackles is the perfect age and look. Jensen Ackles for Captain America FTW!!!

cromulentcat 1/16/2010 12:16:22 AM

I know hes too old but I can dream. Plus I still think Captain America needs to be a great well established actor not an unknown. Because how is Jensen Ackles gonna be the leader of the Avengers can you really see him as the leader of RDJ and Norton?!? I just cant see it?!

axia777 1/16/2010 4:08:52 PM

I can see it. Jensen Ackles can hold his own. If it is not him then who? Some other people want to see Sam Worthington as Captain America. I could see that working as well. He is a pretty good actor and he has the look too. I would be down with it. Some other people want Channing Tatum as the Cap. I don't know about that one. He was Duke in GI Joe. That is all I know him from. I think those are the top three most discussed choices as of now for the part of Captain America.
