Hope they get a better story this time.  They promised a parents movie but pretty much lied about that for first one.  Lizard was not handled well ignoring his wife and son and him being more of a tragic figure in the comics.  So far just a money grabber franchise for the brainless.

Excellent news; TASM was the second best CBM this year behind The Avengers!

Not exactly sure why this is news, since they've been saying this was supposed to be a trilogy.  Hopefully this second movie veers further from the Raimi franchise.  ASM hit so many of the exact same beats (often at the exact same time) as the original that it felt a little pointless at times.

Still have not seen this....still not planning on it also...

This was a decent flick. Not super good and doesn't stand up to the Marvel Studios movies but Garfield is a better Peter Parker than Maguire. And the chemistry between him and Emma Stone blows away the Dunst/Maguire one.

My only beef about this movie was the retelling of the origin. A chief complaint was having a reboot so soon. Well, since it was so soon after the 1st Spidey, an origin did not need to be retold.

Mech shooters rule!

I felt is was more Spider-Meh.  I'm not sure what movie everyone who loved it saw, but I actually thought about leaving.  Everything outside the Lizard/Spidey battle was a bore (actually, just the one scene which feature Stan the Man.)  I'm just not getting the joy that the comics produced.  Maybe this is the Ultimate version for the younger fans.

It was kind of a mix of Ultimate and Classic, like what Marvel is doing at Disney.  I thought it was okay, but I really wasn't wow'd either.  I did like Stan's cameo, and in the context of the story, I felt the scene where average citizens assist him made much more sense than, "Hey! You mess with one New Yorker, you mess with all of us!"  I don't know, I thought they REALLY gave it a good try, and the credits scene made me curious enough to see a sequel (perhaps not in theaters, but eventually), but it could have been much better.

yeah i was blown away by the fact of a woman thats 23 and looks like she was close to 32 played the role of a teenager so well. this movie was such a snoozer i kept looking at my watch wondering when it would end and even my kid was bored with it. im a total fan of spider-man well i was until i saw this movie. and maguire and dunst had that memorable upside down kiss with dunst nipples showing that is the best scene that til this day is parodied in i dont know how many shows and movies i can't even remember one scene in spider-man with facebook boy and her in it. wow was the movie that lame that i don't remember most of it except for the part where im asking myself why is he wearing oakley's at night and why did he make a mask with oakley shades that will make him slam into a wall at night when he is webbing around the city?

To be honest, i think im over Spiderman.

me too they have done such a horrible cartoon show in ultimate spider-man that it almost made me hate the actual ultimate spider-man series. but the movie was just lame and boring i think they tried to make it to much like batman begins.
