I hope this turns out okay...

It goes without saying that these past few weeks have revealed quite a few set photos and videos regarding Marc Webb's shoot for The Amazing Spider-Man. Here's a few more.
A Tweeter named J. Anthony Hall (via ComingSoon) and the Daily Mail have revealed yet another batch of shots from the production, some of which include Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors and Martin Sheen as Ben Parker. There's also a few more of lead star Andrew Garfield in Peter Parker's duds. Check them out down below and a few more here and here.
The upcoming 3D tale stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field. Helmer Webb is leading the production, based on a screenplay by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves.
The Amazing Spider-Man swings into 3D/2D theaters July 3, 2012.

ddiaz, it probably won't be replaced with anything. The good Doctor never wore a prosthetic so they're probably just going to make it disappear
With every photo I see of Andrew Garfield, it's becoming more apparent that he was the wrong choice for this role. Why does Hollywood think that you can stuff any 'it' star of the moment in a comic book movie and that it will be a home run. This guy does not look like a nerd (which Parker for all his Spider Powers in fact is!) and I just think that this is going to be a glorified failure. They should have just let Rami, make his Spiderman 4!

I'm so in love with Raimi';s Spiderman epics, this one is hard for me to swallow. He just doesn't look dorky enough. And for those of you who thought Toby was too sad, Garfierld looks even sadder.
BUT I do like the 500 Days of Summer, and will give the director a chance. But I have as low expectations for this as most of you do for X-Men First Class (which I'm stoked about)
GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD! GIVE US THE LIZARD!
Actually gauley it isn't many here with low expectations for First Class. Our grievance is with the departure from the comics and the continuity issues within the film franchise itself. Most comments have been fairly positive for the actual film once we get past the continuity issues and team make up
As for Garfield, I think he looks nerdy enough. As much as Toby did anyway. I can't say one way or the other if the guy will do the character justice but most complaints have been about the goofy/dancing/singing Peter and the mopey SpiderMan. Raimi really jumped the shark with his stunts there in parts 2 and 3
I agree with Wiseguy, I think Garfield looks nerdy enough, just about as nerdy as Ultimate Spidey's Parker (which is the direction most Marvel comics-2-film are going these days). Raimi had his time with the character, but to be honest, I always felt the tone with his films was too campy even with Spider-man 1. As far as Tobey goes, I think he played an OK Peter Parker, but his Spidey wasn't nearly snarky enough, and he was a little too whiney throughout IMO. I may be a little bias here, but I loved 500 Days of Summer, Social Network, and Never Let Me Go...so for me, this movie has a lot going for it. Bring on round two!
I can't get past the "Cirque du Spidee" costume which we've all seen, and nothing here makes anything better. I continue to hope beyond all rational thought that Disney can wrestle this franchise back from Sony and give us a success like Iron Man or Thor. But I fear we are in for years of the same kind of abuse Fox has put X Men fans through.
Disney and Marvel are rare, in that their executives have learned to succeed by doing right by their characters and fans, from Ariel to Mickey to Iron Man to Woody to, now, Thor, they've produced good entertainment that honors the creation. Sony and Fox execs only want the weekend box office, the auteur shooter, the hot new name, the buzz.
Unless the fanboy/communitiy reviews are brilliant on this one, Sony won't get my money.
What is Rhys Ifan's hand going to be replaced with? Anyone know?
