Apparently there's some confusion about which 'Tintin' movies Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson will direct, with the rights holders claiming Jackson is helming the first movie, while Spielberg saying that he is.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a spokesperson for Brussels' Herge Studios had announced Tuesday that Jackson was moving into the directors chair of the first film and Spielberg was handling the sequel.
However, reps for both Jackson and Spielberg have corrected this stating that Spielberg is still the man in charge of the first movie and it's Jackson who will film the follow up.
Jackson's first priorities are to complete 'The Lovely Bones' and then write the scripts for the 'Hobbit' films.
Spielberg's film will be based on the 'Tintin' classics, "The Secret of the Unicorn" and "Red Rackham's Treasure," written by Tintin creator Herge between 1942 and 1944. Stephen Moffat wrote the screenplay.
