Spielberg Releases New INDY Video

Director Steven Spielberg has released a new video for INDIANA JONES IV over at his official website. Much like the previous video, it's short but it shows them filming Harrison Ford in his "Indiana Jones" adventure gear.

Hat? Check. Bullwhip? Check. Jacket? Check. Indiana looking like he got ran over by a tank? Check...

There's also a shot of what looks like Russian soldiers in it.

Rumors Floating Around:  As most of you have heard by now, some rumors have been jumping around the internet on the "possible" story for INDIANA JONES IV the past two weeks. The rumors have said that this film will correspond with the events that transpired in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. That the Ravenwoods  will be involved, the Ark will be involved somewhere in the story and the Russians will be involved. This came out on both IESB.net and AICN.

These are all just rumors at this point of time. Even Shia being his son is just a rumor though I think it's safe to say that rumor is true by what we have seen and heard.

INDIANA JONES IV hits theaters everywhere on May 22, 2008.

Well, I will admit that what little we saw there looked pretty good. The more they keep Indy in his adventure gear and the less he's seen in his "Firewall" suit, the better off the movie will be...

I love the fact that George Lucas is wearing a "Han Shot First" T-shirt in that video. That's classic.

that is Ironic isnt it? were the Russian soldiers standing on either side of Harrison on what looked like a film daily?

mlaforcer • Jul 12, 2007, 02:56am •
I know there are two guys standing next to him but I'm not sure if they are Russian and it's not a daily you see there it is a monitor hooked up to the camera....
I have just finished watching it again and I think you are right, it does look like it could be a daily and the two guys are U.S. Army men...

I personaly think that George's shirt is an insult considering his refusal to restore the scene where Han shot first in all altered version of a new hope.

First Special Edition Greedo shoots first.

Latest special edition that came out a couple of years ago Han is seen dodging the shot.

At least now he has finaly gave in and released the original theatrical version.

I agree with Tacid - that fact he's wearing that is almost an F-U to the fans. Basically "I think it's so cute you guys get so angry about that - tee hee! It's my film, screw you!".
I pray Spielberg isn't taking any directing tips from George.
BUT - as skeptical as I am about Indiana Fossil I couldn't help but be giddy when I saw Ford back in the attire. I wonder if he's going to have to staple the hat to his head again...

Well, we'll see. Please let this be good...

I can't tell for sure either, but they might be US Army holding him up. It seems more like they're helping than hurting, but who knows.
Either way as usual, crap for a video, but somethings better than nothing I guess.

This will be great. The "holy trio" wouldn't be making this film if they didn't think it was going to be a home run with both the fans and the box office.

He still looks like Indy! I was afriad all the years of drowning in alchohol were going to make him unrecognizable.

And seriously: Fans deserve an F-U if they're going to get so bent out of shape over the changes in the Special Edition. It's still the same, great story. The changes didn't severely alter the story, characters or action. It's time we get over ourselves and enjoy what we all STILL know is one of the best stories on film.
