Spike Lee will soon be jumping into the murky waters of theoretical physics' clash with the theory of time traveling. The trades are reporting that Lee will be directing co-writing Time Traveler, an adaptation based around the memoirs of African-American Ph.D Ronald Mallett. Lee acquired "Time Traveler: A Scientist's Personal Mission to Make Time Travel a Reality" and set up the project through his Forty Acres & A Mule Filmworks.

Plot Concept: Mallett, who wrote the book with Bruce Henderson, recounts his rise from poverty to a distinguished academic and scientific career, and it lays out the technical specs for what Mallett envisions as a workable time machine. Developing a time machine became an obsession for Mallett from the age of 10 after his father's death. His goal was to travel back in time to save his father.

Sounds pretty interesting! I kind of wish Spike would do more movies that are sort of out of his element. 25th Hour and Inside Man were really damn good movies. But, I get that he wants to do more "black-centric" movies, because if he doesn't do it, who else will? The Hudlin Bros are writing comics. Antoine Fuqua and Tim Story do pretty much every other type of movie which is fine, because I like Fuqua`s flicks. And John Singelton hasn`t done much lately. Black people don`t have that much of a voice these days.

oh cool...I saw this guy before on the history channel.. and thats exactly what he talked about...going back in time to save his father...what a dedication....

Let me guess mostly "black-centric" cast for this one. Tired of his politics.

Before I get slammed I did love Malcolm X.

If a director singles out race then you know there will always be an argument. Just make good movies and we will come.

Spike Lee needs to "Shut his face!",lol. Clint represent son!

I kind of agree...dead tired of his politics. He was also very wrong to go after Clint. Clint does his research, evidently not Spike.

25th Hour is one of my favorite movies. If he keeps his mouth shut, and trims down about 20 minutes of his movies, people will see them.

LOL, Spike Lee wanted black people to be represented in Letters from Iwo Jima. He's going to go after China next for not representing blacks in their films.

That whole argument was ridiculous. Yes, Clint didn't have too many blacks in Flags but the man is far from a racist. I do think he kind of stepped over the line with the comment but he has always been a shoot from the hip guy and hasn`t mellowed in his old age. It was silly to even mention Letters because it was about the Japanese perspective. I rarely saw any white people in the movie either.
And Loving Malcolm X does not help you from not getting slammed. That`s like someone saying, "I`m not a racist. I have a black friend" I am NOT saying that you are a racist or that you should be slammed for not liking Spike Lee movies. I am saying that argument doesn`t hold water.
And Spike Lee doesn't single out race. He just chooses to showcase black people in his movies. It was more relevant a few years ago when we weren't properly represented in Hollywood and some would argue we still aren't. It has nothing to do with politics. No one complains when Speilberg shows his political views and feelings in movies. Why is it wrong for Spike? And I mentioned 2 great movies which had no political or racial views in them. 25th Hour and Inside Man. In fact he hasn`t made a "black-centric" movie since She Hate Me in 2004.

Hanso, how about them Lakers?

Lakers got stomped like the bitches they are.
Purple is for pussies or evil clowns.
The best player in the world looked pedestrian the entire series.
P.Jackson sucks as a head coach. If not for two superstars on all his championships. I could do that. He needs to kiss his gm's ass for the gifts. Him and his zen bullshit. Hippie mother fucker.
The true mvp K.G. showed how the game is played.
Kobe said he could get forty if he wanted. Yeah, in his dreams. Not against the Celtics.
39 points biggest beat down in a championship clinching game.
Celtics are like 9-2 against Lakers in championship series. Who's you're Daddy.
Green baby, it's money.
Told the lakers to pack light cause they were outtie after Tuesday night
