The sci fi novel, Spin Control, was crowned the winner of this year's Philip K. Dick Award.

The award recognizes distinguished science fiction in the United States published originally in paperback.

The annual award, named for legendary SF author Philip K. Dick, is sponsored by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society. Other nominees were Mindscape by Andrea Hairston, Catalyst by Nina Kiriki Hoffman, Recursion by Tony Ballantyne, Idolon by Mark Budz and Living Next Door to the God of Love by Justina Robson.
