the game was freakin awesome

It looks like all the development shifting has finally caught up to Namco Bandai's long-awaited revival of the horror game Splatterhouse. After some back-and-forth in which the company pulled the development from Bottlerocket Entertainment in February only to hire some of those same ex-Bottlerocket employees last month to finish up the production, GameSpot has revealed the title has now been delayed until sometime next year.
Originally announced as a 2009 release, Namco Bandai has confirmed for GameSpot that Splatterhouse is now due sometime in 2010. Namco Bandai declined to comment on whether the game would be an early- or late-year release.

The title will hit both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360.
I've never played the game but this sounds like The Mask meets Friday the 13th. Was the game pretty good?
