Mastermind superhero creator Stan Lee and Disney are teaming up to bring three new projects to the big screen, reports Variety. Lee and partner Gil Champion will executive produce the flicks through their POW! Entertainment shingle and all three story concepts will be based on stories originally created by Stan.

For the projects, his official website only has a small bit about the third project down but the trade confirms the following.

Nick Ratchet will be written and directed by Richard LaGravenese. Larry Jacobson and Sonny Grosso are in talks to produce.

Blaze will be written by Gary Goldman.

Tigress in development with Michelle Rodriguez set to star. The spec will be written by Zoe Green. State Street Pictures' Robert Teitel and George Tillman will produce.

as far as i remenber blaze was some kind of teenege girl with stupid star sunglasses, anyway Comics and disney sound bad to me, we want comics with violence as it should be. Not spidey with bad guys turning good guys at the end....

I am a Marvel fan hardcore but Stan Lee just can't write anymore.

What?!?! No Feedback? No Diffuser? Has Stan no attention span any longer? LOL. Agree totally with Dazzler there, nothing I have seen recently from Lee has any "Oomph" No appeal to his characters anymore. Sad.

"We want comics with violence as it should be."

Speak for yourself, exfan.

I'm very happy with books like Blue Monday, Ghost World, Strangers In Paradise . . . there is more to great comics than people getting beat-up and killed.

The beauty of comics is that it can cover any genre or any topic. If it were reduced to just one thing the format would've been dead long ago. I need a fix of different flavors from the adult content to the all ages stuff to keep me happy.
Love Stan Lee, but like many of the greats in just about any industry they don't know when is time to quit. Either way I wish him luck.

Dazzler is right on the nose. I love Lee's plder work, but he can't write his way out of a wet paper bag. Sorry to be so harsh, but I keep buying new things by him, when they come out, and they ...lets just say are less than stellar.

True Merin,
There is way more to comics than violence, ect...BUT Stan Lee is a SUPERHERO comic writer, and I'll bet exfan was referring to that genre of comics...maybe not, just my take.

By the way, I don't have that big a problem criticizing Lee after watching a killer documentary (you've all probably seen it) "In Search of Steve Ditko" where they had to twist Lee's arm to get him to admit Ditko Co-Created Spider-Man

What's going on with Mania!!??

They didn't cover the "The Dark Knight" viral stuff from yesterday nor have they posted the new kick ass pics of Iron Man popping up today. I saw them over at SHH and they had a link for them over at AICN also.
Come on Mania, don't hold back on all the superhero fun stuff.

thanks (for the second day ) for the scoop hanso. I just login to Mania, to see hanso.com for all my latest Superhero news.
BTW those photos of Iron Man ROCK!!!!

Hopefully mania.com is busy fixing the screenshot trivia game

Word gauley, does photos do ROCK!!!
They'd be better if it didn't say Paramount on them though, but still they kick ass.

It must be Mania is fixing them bugs on the trivia game because they had posted pics about the hulk, iron man, batman, etc, previously. Don't know what happened with today's stuff. Maybe they'll pop up later in the day or something.
