Dude that's not Neo, that dude is wearing a cape. That's SUPERMAN!
Think about it. He doesn't age...he was bound to show up in the Trek universe sooner or later.

Wait a second. I know this a far fetched, could Peter Weller be reprising his role from Enterprise of Fanactical leader John Paxton or maybe his descendant? That would be in line with the plot, his organization was fiercely against the exploration of space and destroying all the starships would cripple that effort.
Curious.
Well, couldn't some Borg left behind in Star Trek: First Contact? Biding their time, waiting to strike, and reveal how the Enterprise crews EFF up time so much that Earth is really a mess as a result?
HMMMM......
Have we abandoned that idea that Kahn is the bad guy in this? Invisioner, nice avatar :)
This description of the plot pretty much screams Charlie X to me, the kid with mental powers from the original series.
I imagine the wreckage looking a little like Borg tech is coincidental. Lazarus, I wondered the same thing about Peter Weller being in this movie - not being the same character from "Enterprise", but possibly his descendent or something. I hope it's not Charlie X, Pendragon0, just because I'm pretty sure in this universe he's still in his single digits, MAYBE early teen. Anyway, can't wait for more solid details to surface.
Looking forward to this! Even though the ST Faithful are upset that he changed the timeline, I still think it was a good idea. At least they have their continuity and JJ can carve out his own...
...as I tried to post earlier....Looks like Inception meets Dark Knight Rises. Despite the GAPING plot holes in ST2009, I still enjoyed watching it several times. I gues, for me, ANY Trek is better than no Trek at all
