Alice Eve is Dr. Carol Marcus, so John Harrison/Khan makes sense.

So reading up on John Harrison, says he was a bridge officer during the Kahn episode. It doesn't say he turned sides or anything other than trying to help Kirk. Are we guessing that Kahn uses this alias or is simply wearing his outfit? What theories do you all have in mind?

Wait - wait - wait.  When you resort to name calling it doesn't mean you've lost the argument.  What nonsense is that?  If I said the sky IS BLUE, YOU TWAT. How would that make it not true?

What's with all the speculation at this point? All this guessing and "therories" is crap right now. The story could be COMPLETELY different from what you guys are arguing about!! Until we know more, whats the point?? Sure, I'm very excited about it, but sheeesh, I need more to go on before I throw out story theories!!!

Harrison's character was a long running character on TOS played by long running extra Ron Veto.  He appeared in many episodes wearing a variety of uniform colors: red, gold and blue.  He was in the episode Space Seed, but I don't think they ever refer to him as John Harrison in TOS; he is referred to only as Harrison.  Could be the same character or a totally new character.  Maybe John Harrison is an augmented tyrant from the Eugenics Wars.  It'll be interesting to see where this goes from here.  Maybe Kirk isn't Harrison's target; maybe Khan is still in the mix somehow.  Either way, brilliant PR; all us geeks are talking about it!

Yeah, now theyr'e getting into who Alice Eve is playing..

Vermithrax that's part of the fun bud.

Star Trek on memoryalpha has Harrison's history. No involvement with Where No Man Has Gone Before but was in  Space Seed. So lay down your bets

Ole Wise One, this is true. It just seems so funny that we're getting all this speculation based on some quick glimpses from a trailer. Personally, I can't wait for STID.....I really enjoyed the first one, flaws and all, and I think this one will be fun too! FUN is something Star Trek had lost after First Contact.

But, at least we have a bunch of us ALSO excited about this new movie, even if there are those who are hating already without it even being out yet!

Memory Alpha describes the end of Garth's career as a "descent Into Darkness", lol....
