Consider the dismount stuck. The Clone Wars finishes its third season with a bang as Ahsoka is kidnapped by a gang of smelly Trandoshans to serve as prey in their hunt. Cut off from the other Jedi, she finds aid in a trio of Padawans who have survived the Trandoshans’ forays… as well as a familiar face that Cartoon Network has pimped to the point of overkill. Thankfully, Chewbacca’s arrival lives up to the hype, and director Dave Filoni deftly avoids undue Predator comparisons by making the bad guys more like intergalactic rednecks than big game hunters. It all adds up to a smashing two-part finale – with a classy nod to Peter Mayhew in the closing credits -- leaving us breathless and ready for the start of Season Four.
