Star Wars: Rebels arrives in October.

Walt Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. have released a full extended trailer for Star Wars Rebels. I love the use of John Williams’ “Duel of the Fates” here. Expect more news on the upcoming series to surface this week at Comic Con. Check out their panel of events here on
Press Release: The Jedi have been wiped out and the Empire spreads tyranny through the galaxy. Hope runs thin. But on the small planet of Lothal a big change is looming. A group of rebels meet a 14-year-old con artist named Ezra and soon it's clear their destinies are linked. Aboard their ship, the Ghost, Ezra and the rebels embark on an adventure to ignite a rebellion and strike back against the Empire.

Star Wars Rebels features Freddie Prinze Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, Vanessa Marshall, Jason Isaacs, David Oyelowo and Billy Dee Williams.

The new original animated series, Star Wars Rebels, is coming to Disney XD this October.

I would love to see Vader from time to time.

So since we know from the movies that during A New Hope, other than Obi Wan, Luke and Yoda there are no other living Jedi we can assume that the Jedi we see here eventually succumb to the empire and Vader and end up dead right?  Seems a little anti-climactic.

We also knew Anakin Skywalker was going to become Darth Vader and also was destined to be featured in three terrible prequels, but the Clone Wars was pretty good.

Clone Wars cartoon was fantastic. The same guys that worked on it are on this one.

My only issue is that damn slingshot, which is noticeably absent here.

Jason Isaacs would have been awesome in Star Wars.  At least we get him as a voice in Rebels.
