STAR WARS Special-Special Edition?

Despite mild denials from George Lucas that he would be adding even more scenes to the original STAR WARS trilogy to tie it more closely together with his prequel trilogy, then re-release all six films in the saga in 2006, rumblings of just such a project persist.

"If the films are ever released again - and I'm not sure they're going to be - it'll purely be to put them out there for a new audience," Lucas told MAXIM magazine when asked about the reports.

However, in the same issue of MAXIM, Jimmy Smits said Lucas had talked to him about the idea of inserting a scene with Smits as Bail Organa, Princess Leia's adoptive father, into STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE just before his home planet of Alderaan is destroyed by the Death Star.

According to a report on TheForce, WARS composer John Williams told a Dutch magazine he hopes to insert the Imperial March music into A NEW HOPE.
